Morning Bondi meets the Google Pixel
Morning Bondi had a chance to try out the new Google Pixel mobile phone before the official launch in Australia (19.10.2016). Over the course of a weekend, Amaury decided to test the phone by what he does best, take photos of Bondi Beach in the morning.
The camera is actually pretty sophisticated compared to other phones and allow users to manually control settings like the exposure bracketing, play on the depth of field using what Google calls the "Lens Blur" and even adjust the white balance.
In terms of video capabilities, the Pixel is pretty impressive - you can shoot in any resolution up to 4K, decide on how slow you want the slow-mo (120fps or 240fps) and the video stabilisation is unbeatable.
The three main features that make the Pixel a mobile phone of choice have to be the quality of the camera, the unlimited full resolution storage of your photos directly in the Google Photos Cloud and finally the battery life that could last up to 10 hours after a charge.
Here is a selection of the photos taken with the phone and presented at the Pixel Australian launch...
A massive thanks to Aisling, Shane and the rest of the team at Google Australia for this great opportunity...
