Hello there,

Hope you all had a good night sleep.

This morning was just fabulous, first and foremost it was quite mild (or at least way less cold than yesterday), the sun was shining, the surf was not too bad, I was with my mates and the water once again was just perfect.

Yesterday, besides the fact that it was my 7 year wedding anniversary, it was a fantastic day for two main reasons: #1 - I have had a photo posted on Instagram that broke the Internet, here you go if you haven't seen it yet and #2 - I had a print and frame order for a massive 114 x 76cm. Thank you so much Kelly, if you read this! So thrilling to see your work printed :)

Mooooorning guys,

Wow today was freezing... 5 degrees at 5:30am and believe me you could feel it, especially with my swimwear on.

Alone, I ran to Dudley Page reserve and back, the view of the city from there is just unreal. By far one of the best spots in the Easter Suburbs to see the sunset, as well as the sunrise actually. The reflection of the sun on the buildings is just a magnificent show.

Then caught-up for coffee with Julius, Hamish & Paul, photos and swim. Am I crazy? Probably but the water temperature is just perfect compared to outside, kind of a warm bath. I mean everything is relative obviously when it's 5 degrees and 19 degrees inside the water - it feels like it!

Have a fantastic week my friends, mine is starting well, it's my 7 year wedding anniversary...

What an amazing start of the day!!

This morning was just incredible. We started with some boxing under the new addition, the winter wheel, then coffee at Chapter One as everyday, then photos and swim.

I have to say everything today was so Instagram worthy, shame my phone is broken and therefore I will have to wait to get it fixed.

Morning my friends,

Today was very (very) similar than yesterday so if you have seen yesterday's blog post don't bother - just joking! Of course you need to see these photos...

We did our 15 minute challenge with the crew (you have 1 min 30 to do 5 chin-ups, 10 push-ups, 10 crunches, quick run - all these ten times) All this training to be able to drink more beers over the weekend. ;)

This morning was pretty sun-sational, the sunrise, the clouds in the sky, the blue indigo water, the temperature inside. Outside, a different story, especially when you are crazy enough to wear shorts. Who would swim in track pants anyway?!

Morning my friends,

Hope you all had a great weekend, mine was not bad at all.

This morning we went running with the gang from Bondi to Bronte and back, then what we do best, coffee, chit chat and swim for Bertie and I. Trust me, water is still fine but the cold wind was a killer.

Running from the ocean to the icy shower is even worst but that's definitely the best way to wake up, by far.

What a start of the day!

Colours in the sky were insane to start with, the surf was pumping, I was with all my mates and the water temperature was pretty amazing. It is so hard to leave the beach on days like this...

Morning guys,

A bit late update today but I had an early meeting...

Today is the shortest day of the year. This morning was very crisp, no clouds in the sky and an amazing super clear moon. We did boxing with my mate Paul, it's good to get back to it. Then caught-up with Hamish & Julius for coffee.

As I had an early meeting, most of the photos were actually taken before the sunrise - just with the first lights and I got lucky, they were sensational.

After almost three years in the business, I decided to return to Sydney and therefore left our 'baby' in their safe hands. Yesterday, they released their latest showreel. I couldn't be more proud of my mates and what Sixtine became. Keep up the good work. You rock and I can't wait to see what the next ten years look like...

This morning we went jungle gymming in North Bondi, then the usual coffee at Chapter One all the way South, chit chat on the platform, photos and swim.

Today we welcomed my very good mate David Finato, who is actually my oldest Australian friend. I met David 11 years ago when I was student at Macquarie University. David lived in Amsterdam for exactly 10 years and 2 months and has finally decided to relocate to Sydney for good and that makes me really happy. He's a very talented photographer. Why unexpected because when I woke up this morning at 5:30am this morning it was raining then stopped and started again around 6:30am when I was running to Bronte.

At 7:15am, the sky started to light up and finally got amazing colours in the sky - well worth waking up if you ask me.

I was with all my mates: Patrick, Carlos, Paul, Bruno, Bertie, Hamish, Julius, Hamish, Simon and believe me we had a ball. From doing some (stupid) reps at the jungle gym, coffee, chit chat and swim.

God I love my morning routine and having fun with my mates before work is probably the best bit.

How was your long weekend?!

Today, we had 10 minutes of sunshine and then gone, the sun was then hidden by the fluffy clouds. No training for me, I just went down for coffee and swim.

Water temperature is fine, outside is a different story. Go for a swim whilst the water is still warm...

I might chat to you tomorrow, I have an early meeting all the way to Brookvale so haven't decided if I can make it to the beach or not?!

Morning my friends,

Sorry for the no news over the last three days but the weather has been pretty terrible, so the perspective of going down the beach under the rain was not really tempting.

This morning, I went down the beach with my daughter to catch-up with my mate Paul. I end up seeing most of the photographers that I'm going to have dinner with tonight. I've been kindly invited by Lauren Bath, the most popular Australian travel Instagrammer, to a dinner with her, a team of other photographers and the lovely guys from Olympus Australia that are putting the dinner together. The sky was lovely this morning, the surf wild and there was a 2 minute light burst when everyone got really excited and then gone... Too bad!

Morning Bellevue Hill

Morning peeps,

After three exhausting days of cleaning, packing, unpacking, driving back and forth, carrying boxes... We finally moved in in our new apartment and no it's not in Bondi, it's in Bellevue Hill. I know, I know, so controversial, Morning Bondi doesn't live in Bondi anymore but in Bellevue Hill. How ironic! ;) Don't worry though it's not going to a change a thing and I will continue to go down every morning...

Another day, another cracker...

You can tell that winter has kicked off, it's pretty cold out there but the sunrise and the surf were fabulous.

First day of winter

First day of winter and what a cracker with an avalanche of waves!!

This morning was super cold and windy, no joke it took me 20 minutes of exercise to finally warm up and finally willing to remove my puffer jacket. We went to the jungle gym with Paul, coffee at Chapter One as always and photos.

Waves, there were a lot this morning but only three surfers willing to ride them. Good on you boys!

God this morning was cold!!

We went down to the jungle gym to warm up but to be honest I didn't do much as I was on the phone with my best mate back in France and caught-up with my mate Aaron and his new puppy so not much exercise.

Then we all joined Franck Gazzola for coffee before his 3-year trip to Antarctica. That's right! He's going on an amazing expedition and will be the official photographer of the trip. Follow his adventure on Under the Pole channels - Facebook and Instagram. Bon voyage Francky! We are going to miss you mate...

Morning my friends,

Mine was pretty much about packing. After 7 years in the same apartment, we are moving out to a bigger place next weekend. It was about time as our living room is looking like a kid playground. Anyway...

This morning was a bit chilly but pretty sensational - still hard to believe that winter is in exactly 3 days.

Les archives. Another day, another rainy day… As I could see it was not raining, I ventured down much later than usual, around 6:45 am. I just arrived and a light drizzle started. What are the chances?! I joined my mates for a quick dip in the ocean and coffee at Chapter One (my unofficial gallery, they have five of my prints on the wall). Still worth going out, if you ask me… Have a great day my friends and stay warm as it’s a bit nippy at the moment. Ciao, Amo PS: I’m going camping this weekend with a bunch of mates but pretty sure I don’t have the right equipment to cope with the cold. I only have a summer sleeping bag… It’s going to be fun, they say. 🤦🏽‍♂️🥶

Rainy days. Do you know what rainy days mean? It means archive days. Here are photos from the past couple of months, most of them were my second favourite ones so you wouldn’t have seen them before. As you know, I love doing my Morning Bondi routine but it actually takes so much time. I’m talking about the photo bit especially. At the moment, I take photos from 6:30ish when the sun is up for roughly 30-40 minutes, then selection of the good photos for 20 mins, light edit the best ones for 10 mins, then write the morning blurb for 3-5 mins (I tend not to overthink this, as you can tell), then upload of each individual photos on the blog for 10 minutes, then newsletter for 5 minutes, then Instagram for 3 minutes, Facebook 3 minutes and Instagram Story 3 minutes. Basically, around 1.5 hours on average. So yes sometimes, I’m glad when it’s raining as I’m saving so much time. Have a beautiful day, despite the weather, and chat with you tomorrow, Xoxo Amo

Golden Sea. Slow start this morning, it was pretty average unless you could wait up to 8am (I couldn’t) to see the sun popping out behind the curtain of clouds. It was all about the golden reflection of the hidden sun on the water. Gold 24-carat for a few minutes. I don’t have much to tell you today except that if you live locally and love ‘Shark Tank’ TV show, you will love the local version of it. It’s called the Bondi Innovation Shark Tank organised by the @bondichamber and it’s next Wednesday at @hotelravesis You can find all the deets in the media release and book your tickets on the blog. I’m going with my awesome business partner Mary Proulx and supporting Sam Cust, one of the sharks (I think that’s what we call them). If you come down, let’s have a beer and break bread (what I love the most about our business name is that the puns are endless). I loaf you! (see) Amo

Nothing to worry about, it's just a tornado off North Bondi, ... 🌪️😲 I took this photo this morning around 9:30 am. I was shooting with @versefinejewellery in South Bondi when we saw this waterspout tornado coming out of nowhere. Scary much? Look closely and you can see the person around Ben Buckler's cliffs running for his life... That's all folks!

Pure Heaven. What another beautiful start to the day! While yesterday was all about big waves, today was all about the mad reflo on the sand - absolutely stunning. I was sitting just next to Morning Bondi HQ and was snapping like a maniac. Low-tide goodness. What a stunning morning! Today was all about the low-tide gold reflection. It was just the perfect conditions for photos. The problem, only a few people out including two metal hunters. I was with fellow Frenchy @dianeperreau all morning. I reckon she’s the most popular French person in Sydney. So many people are stopping her every morning to have a chat and take a selfie with her. Have a lovely day my friends, Ciao, Amo

Into the wild. What a cracker of a morning! For a change of scenery, I ventured down to Bronte this morning. I reckon I made the right choice, it was just an incredible show. I was with my mate @paolocattaneophoto for the entire morning and we were just looking at the waves rolling in. Bronte Pool was the best place in da house. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen the very rare video of me talking to the camera. With @bread_agency, my agency, I recently started working with the team from @in2thewild.aus, the best tiny houses business around. In order to have a better understanding of the experience, the client kindly invited me to go for a couple of days with my wife and daughter. Real legends, best onboarding! The whole experience was amazing - especially for someone like me that is pretty hyperactive. I just ‘re-wilded’ for two days. Even though the network was working where we were, I put my phone in airplane mode the whole weekend and made the most of the experience. The tiny house was kitted with all the things that you need, all the products in there are premium and sourced from ethical brands. Let’s be honest the firepit and outdoor bath were the highlights for me. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are like me and struggle to switch off. FriYay. How’s everyone today? After two days in Melbs (Melbourne for the hipsters), I’m back in the hood. What a morning! Incredible light, the surf was ON and the Icebergs was packed - perfect for photo ops. This morning I caught up with my mate Ben, a fellow Frenchy that I haven’t seen for years. We hung out around the Bergs and finished with a swim in South Bondi - how original. Enjoy your weekends my friends. Mine is going to be pretty epic. I’m going into the wild, literally.
