Best-off 2024

Morning my friends,

I hope everyone is well and ready for their Christmas break.

As the last post of the year, I thought I should post a series of my favourite photos taken in 2024.

What I love capturing the most is people doing their things in the morning, followed by epic sunrise and portraits.

This album is just that.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all,

Take care of yourself and chat to you in the new year,

Morning my friends,

How was your weekend? After our pretty epic Bread Christmas lunch/drinks/party on Friday, I found a new way to cure hangovers: gardening. A good way to sweat all the Margs, Beers and G&T in nature.

Anyhow, this morning was incredible. I had good intentions to train with mates, but the light ended up being too good not to take photos.

It all started with Hugh Jackman getting out of the water in North Bondi. If you don't trust me, check the tabloids. Three paparazzi made sure to cover the event.

So many people around making the most of their mornings.

Enjoy your week my friends,

Morning gang,

How's everyone today? Personally, I'm pumped. I ventured to Bondi this morning because I knew it was going to be a cracker, and gosh, it didn't disappoint at all.

The vibe, the light, the sunrise, the people all around... So good! This is why I started Morning Bondi in the first place. Capture the action.

Bondi is my community and always will be. I love bumping into all the familiar faces and the 10+ chats I'm having every morning. I'm what we call a 'people person' and therefore I crave this more than you can imagine.

That's it for the intrinsic analysis.

Have a wonderful day and chat next week. Tomorrow is our 🍞 Xmas lunch and I have a few things to do in the morning so no time for photos beforehand.

Ciao team!!

Morning gang,

How's everyone today?

I finally get to witness a bit more activity down at Maroubra, probably because I was down the beach for a bit longer and later or simply because I was with my lucky charm and friend Simone doing the tour guide. She knows all the good spots around.

We went for a little promenade along the beach, coffee and dip in Mahon Pool. This pool is pretty incredible I have to say.

Enjoy your day and I might chat to you tomorrow from another beach. Thinking of Clovelly. Any good stuff in the morning on that day?

Morning gang,

It's been a bit more than a week since I moved to Maroubra, and gosh, I missed the buzz of Bondi in the morning and bumping into the usual suspects.

It's hectic with 100's of people around, but I love it. I will aim to go there a couple of days per week. It's just a bit more of an organisation as I'm not planning on doing return trips to Maroubra before heading to Surry Hills, where our Bread office is. It's just a direct trip from the beach to work with salty hair and sandy feet.

This morning was glorious at sunrise, then it went to dull real quick. No time to f-around, love the efficiency.

Have a lovely day my friends and chat tomorrow from the Bra.

Morning my friends,

I hope you are all well.

I woke up early, like 4:30 am early, because of a bird thinking it was the right time to make some noise. It was indeed, the first lights were incredible so I ventured down to Bronte Pool for some action.

It was packed, heaps of people around going for an early dip in the pool and I was there to capture it. I was done by 6 am, efficient if you ask me.

Have a wonderful day my friends and hoping the weather gets it wrong and it's not going to rain again today.

Morning Maroubra

Hi gang,

How's everyone today?

This morning was a cracker, I woke up early to discover my new neighbourhood. Pretty nice to be honest!

I live on Torrington Road, a few doors up from Guy and Jules Sebastian and only one minute from Mahon Pool - I know not to bad. It's going to be my new local. This pool is pretty picturesque.

Maroubra vs Bondi, well, a few differences: not as many swimmers, more surfers with better surf too, less crowded, less boot camps, men are still wearing dick stickers, showers have got more pressure, more tatts, less influencers and photographers and closer to the airport so more planes passing above...

That's it for my analysis. Anything else, I missed?

All in all, I like it but I will definitely aim to go back to Bondi a couple of days per week as I do prefer the morning activity down in Bondi. I like busyness, more photo subjects to photograph.

Enjoy your week my friends,

Another beautiful morning in Paradise.

I woke up early for my last morning in Bondi this week. I have a busy week ahead: Shoot tonight for one of our Bread clients, Canberra tomorrow and Thursday (to potentially win that French-Australian Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 🤞🏼 - thanks again for all your votes), and then I move on Friday. Yew!

In case you haven't seen it on my Stories last night, our place is now advertised on all real estate websites. The first visit is tomorrow at 12 p.m. Be there or be square! It will go quickly.

Morning crew,

How's everyone today? Great weekend?

Big news from me. After living around Bondi Beach and Bellevue Hill for the past 14 years, I'm moving to Maroubra at the end of the week. Yeah, I know, it's a big deal!

I'm becoming a Bra Boy, I mean kinda. For all my friends who don't live in the area, it's only 20 minutes from Bondi Beach, just after Coogee.

What does it mean? Well, I might not come down as consistently as I used to (I mean, with the crappy weather of late, you are already used to it), but I might start covering other beaches, such as Maroubra Beach and Coogee. It also means that my apartment in Bellevue Hill is up for rent. I will post a link once it's live. It will go fast, so if you are looking for a new place to live 5-minute drive from the beach, get in touch pronto.

On that note, this morning was incredible and well worth the 5 AM alarm clock.

I hope you enjoy the photos and chat tomorrow morning if the weather is as nice.

Sculptures by the Sea - ticked!

Oh well, I was awake real early today (4:22 AM), yeah, nah! Anyhow, I decided to make the most of it and checked the yearly Sculptures by the Sea along the iconic Bondi to Bronte promenade.

Ok, my highlights are: the astronaut, the rocket and the bana-shark.

There are plenty of others, but I think I'm not enough of an art connoisseur to appreciate them fully...

Sun popped up late, and it brightened the whole place like heaven.

Have a wonderful weekend and remember I won't post anything until at least Thursday. Yeah, I'm busy going to Hamilton Island for a client's conference... There are worst places to be, I know.

Locals only

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today?

I love a good surprise and today was one of those. The sun was shining, the light was incredible, waves were rolling, not that many surfers in the water and happy people all around making the most of their mornings…

I absolutely hate the phrase “Locals only,” which you might see in some places around Australia, including in Byron Bay next to the famous surfing spots. It usually means that the place is only for the locals and does not welcome people from outside. 🤦🏽

What I mean by ‘Locals only’ for today’s post is NOT that, but that today was pretty quiet but full of the usual suspects: from Bondi originally or not but the people who love starting their days by the beach all year long. Bondi is eclectic with people from all around the world (like me) and I love that. We all have a passion in common: the beach.

I probably make no sense right now. All I want to say is the Bondi Community is the one of the best and I’m so blessed to call Bondi home for the past 15 years.

Have a wonderful day my friends and chat tomorrow, hopefully.

Morning gang,

How's everyone today?

My apologies for the radio silence since same time last week but it's been pretty full on lately.

The World Bread Day Soirée was a hit, even the trade press reported on it. Thanks to my friends at AdNews, B&T, Mediaweek and Mumbrella. Love your support, always!

It was great to be back to my routine this morning. I'm aiming to go down the next 2 days but looking at the weather forecast, I'm not sure I will take photos, potentially Friday. Let's see how it goes...

Next week, I'm off to Hamilton Island for a client conference (yeah, I know) - I can't complain it's going to be amazing.

Catch me if you can (not in the literal sense, duh), but you got the jist; I’m going to be pretty inconsistent in the next few days/weeks, but trust me, I always try my best to stick to this routine.

Happy World Bread Day!

Morning gang,

How's everyone today? Personally, I’m pumped, and it has nothing to do with the stunning sunrise.

Fun fact: Today is World Bread Day, and for those who have been living under a rock for the past two years, I love Bread so much that my business partner Mary and I launched an agency called Bread Agency.

Have I been subtle in my communications? I don’t think so. I gave so many plugs that it would be hard to find enough power sockets.

Anyhow, today is a big day. It’s our second anniversary, which coincides with World Bread Day—how convenient! So we are throwing a big party for all our client partners, journos, and all the lovely partners who have played a crucial role in our growth to date. A Toast to that! (yes, the puns are endless) How good is the flyer? You gotta love Adobe Firefly.

My apologies for taking this forum one more time to talk about 🍞, but it’s my second baby after Morning Bondi.

Have a wonderful day my friends and I might not be in perfect form tomorrow morning so please don’t expect any posts from me.

Peaceful Monday

Morning gang,

How's everyone? Good weekend?

Mondays are always calm but today was particularly peaceful down there with not a lot of people around - first day back at school potentially?!

The highlight was all the whales cruising in the bay and flapping in South Bondi. It's a shame I was in the North End.

On another note, I mentioned it before, but I just received another reminder that there are only a few more days for public voting. I would REALLY appreciate it if you could take 1 second of your time to VOTE for me for this Entrepreneurship Award I've been nominated for. It's a one-click process; you don't need to fill out your details. I'm the second one on the list: Amaury Treguer.

Thank you so much in advance for your support,

Hasta Manyana

Morning gang,

How's everyone today? Great short week?

I had the most amazing four days down the South Coast. I was staying in Manyana, just next to Bendalong Beach staying at Rocky's Beach House (3 hours from Sydney). It is probably the best house in the area, with direct access to the beach. I'm talking 30-second walk. Highly recommend it. Yes, I had to work while there, the joy of being an entrepreneur - you work all the time, but mornings and evenings were special.

This morning, for a change, I flew a drone over Bondi—not mine but the one we bought for Bread last June. Yes, I became a lazy and noisy f*cker! Let's be honest: Drones are pretty annoying but great for new perspectives. You don't even have to do anything except play with a joystick and a few clicks of a button to take some shots.

What do you think? Do you want more of those or should I stick to my normal photos?

Have a great weekend,

Xoxo

Amo

PS: Let’s be clear: I would never sell any of these drone photos; while the quality might be alright for a small screen, I don’t think it’s right for large prints unless you love seeing pixels all over the shots.

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today? Excited for the long weekend.

My apologies for the radio silence, but the days are pretty busy at the moment - Conference chairing last week, Team Planning Days early this week, a CGI shoot yesterday, new office move today, big party for 🍞 2nd official anniversary (yes, the emoji is clickable, try it out, you will see). I know we are all busy, so it’s not an excuse but you gotta do what you gotta do…

This morning, I was joined by my good mate and fellow Frenchy Mehdy. It was the perfect morning for it: chit-chat, coffee, photos and a dip in the ocean for me.

Talking about France, I've been anonymously nominated in the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' category at the French-Australian Excellence Awards organised by The French Embassy and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade). If you could please support me by voting, that would be wonderful. It's only a 1-click process (it will take you less time than reading this post): VOTE HERE (Second one: Amaury Treguer for the ones who don’t know me.)

Have a lovely weekend my friends,

Xoxo

PS: Don’t expect photos from me next week, I’m going to Manyana staying at my friends’ place Rocky’s Beach House. It’s the best house on the South Coast and 30 seconds away from uncrowded waves. BOOM!

Hola team,

Happy Friday!

For a change, I ventured to Bronte Pool and it didn't disappoint. I arrived just on time for sunrise at 5:45 AM. Yeah, I know it's early, but it's well worth it.

I'm not too sure about the new pool design, though. I like the black-and-white lines, but the bottom is not as nice; it almost looks dirty. Is that a way for the Council to skip cleaning days? No one would know how dirty the water is like.

Oh well, it's still one of the nicest pools around here and totally free.

Bondi Communities

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today?

It was a full house today, there were 1000’s of people around. You can tell that summer is going down trying to be active, fit, and healthy.

There are so many different communities: run clubs, surf clubs, swim clubs, ice bath clubs… I’ve reported about most of them in my most popular blog article to date, but it feels that new ones have popped up. Even coffee shops have their own clubs now, including Harry’s Bondi with their run clubs, and by the look of it, GloryDays too have a social swim one. Aaron do you confirm mate?

Anyhow, if you like seeing people, you will love the beach. If you want peace and quiet stay in bed…

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today? Great weekend?

Mine was amazing. There were heaps of celebrations, including mine yesterday. What present did I get for my birthday? A Nintendo Switch. Yeah, I know, not your usual birthday present for a 41-year-old man, but I had no idea what I wanted, and my daughter suggested this so we could play together. Sold! My last console was the Nintendo 64—more than 25 years ago… I’m rusty, but I have to say Mario Kart is still as good as I remembered.

That’s it for the randomness. This morning was a beauty. Waves were crashing in Ben Buckler, and I was there to capture them. It was chilly and windy, but it was worth the wake-up call.
