Morning my friends,

What a morning! I know I tend to repeat myself a fair bit but today was just amazing. Very hard to beat a day like this.

Between the first light, the sunrise (I was running at that time), the bright light, the massive shorey and all the happy people around... By far the best way to start your week feeling energised!

Hope you had a great weekend, mine was just brilliant. It was meant to be quiet but actually escalated a fair bit and caught-up with heaps of my friends. Check my Saturday arvo here and my Sunday arvo here. How good!!

Morning my friends,

Today it was looking all Sepia. It must have been because it was cloudy & sunny all at the same time. I know it sounds a bit weird but that's pretty much what this morning was all about. Very strange sky with the light changing from one minute to another. I obviously concentrated all the photos when it was all sunny.

For a little change, I went down the beach with my daughter. I think she loves it as much as I do... How lucky is she: being born, raised in Sydney and able to go down to the beach in the morning with her daddy. Definitely different than my childhood back in Paris... Don't get me wrong, I loved it but the beach was only in summer time in the South of France!

Anyway enough talking, here are the photos, enjoy peeps and have a fantastic weekend!

Morning my friends,

What a perfect Autumn morning and the sun was up early - perfect!

This morning, as every Thursday, we went for a jungle gym session with the crew, then for a change went to Porch & Parlour (Will Smith favourite coffee joint - check his Insta), then photos and swim in North Bondi.

There were heaps of photo shoots going on this morning. I ended-up doing one myself with the girls from Axel & Ash - great bunch of girls that started their own publishing business. I've known them for years and what they've started is very impressive. They are stocked all over the world. You should go and check out their different books

Morning guys,

Oh My Gawd what a cracker of a morning... Everything was just incredible.

First of all, I was with almost all my mates (Paul, Bertie, Carlos & Juju) - what Morning Bondi is all about
Second, the sunrise was just gold and when I say gold I mean it - check the photos below
Third, the water was just delicious, I could have stayed longer but I was already fairly late
Fourth, I bumped into all the early birds who like me love starting their days by the ocean
Fifth, today is the last day of work before a four-day weekend
Sixth, I'm going to Tassie for Easter (Tasmania for the non-Aussies) and that's going to be epic!

I could go on but I feel like it's a bit boring...

For the French speakers like me that are into Social Media, you should read the latest article that I wrote for FrenchWeb about the future of social and messaging apps. It's going gangbuster!

Morning guys,

Another day another late update... Looking forward for daylight savings in the next few days so that I can stop being late.

This morning was just sun-sational, especially around 7:10am when the sun decided to pop-up behind North Bondi. The light, the clouds, the surf... What else could you ask for really?! That's actually for mornings like this that I succeed to drag myself out of bed every morning at 5:30am.

We did boxing with my mate Paul, always good to smash the pads to release the pressure. Then the usual drill: coffee at Chapter One, photos and swim in the shorey South Bondi. A bit rough but perfect to wake you up.

Morning peeps,

My apologies for the late update but fairly busy morning with back to back meetings up to now. I have 15 minutes in front of me to do it all before my next meeting! #BusyBee

Wow this morning was surprisingly chilly, nothing major but when the temperatures drop by 5-7 degrees, it does make a big difference. Hence the "Aglagla" which is typical French to say "God, it's colder than I thought it was going to be". Basically what I felt this morning at 5:45am when I left my place without a jumper on.

We went to the jungle gym with Paul & Carlos, then what we do best: coffee, chit chat, photos and swim. Love this little routine! By far, the best way to start your day...

This morning the sunrise popped-up at exactly 7:10am - we already did our exercise, coffee and just finished our swim. Then I only had 20 minutes to take all the photos.

Once done, I need to rush back home to select the good ones, quick editing, post them and off to work... It's such a race in the morning but I guess it's well worth it?!

What an amazing weekend we had (36 degrees yesterday arvo) and today is meant to be 30 degrees... Hard to believe that we are already 19 days in Autumn and we still have these type of temperatures. Global warming is for real!

Back in Business

Morning my friends,

It feels like it's been an eternity that I haven't been writing a blog post... actually 11 days in total!

After looking after my daughter on my own for 15 days, my wife is finally back so is my life!! ;) It was definitely challenging to do it all by myself but I'm glad I did. I have all respect for singe parents, it's by far the hardest job in the world!!

Anyway, today was a beauty, woke up at 5:30am ouch! (I forgot how hard it was), went for a Bondi-Bronte run with my mate Bertie, then coffee with Julius, swim and quick stroll with my mate David. I missed our routine!!

Apparently it's meant to be a pretty awful week, weather wise so don't expect much photos.

Well Autumn started pretty well... It was a late sunrise due to the massive clouds but ehh can't complain and it was fitting quite nicely with my schedule anyway.

There was a fair bit of wind so a windsurfer was out making the most of it. I bet he's French. It appears that all windsurfers in Bondi are French. I know, it's weird but it's a thing! François Régis was it you?

Went down to join my mate Paul, Juju, Brundog and even Franky did a guest appearance... Good to hang out with the boys (and my daughter) before work!

Humps Day!

Morning friends,

Happy Humps Day! Yes, there were heaps of humps today...

I went down the beach with my daughter Charlotte to join my good mate Paul for coffee and very quick photos. It was looking magnificent down there and not that many people around...

This is officially the last day of Summer, Autumn is kicking tomorrow which means pretty epic sunrises and less people around. Believe me, it's usually the best time of the year to take photos. I don't know why but in the last 6 years of Morning Bondi, it's definitely something that I have noticed. Most of my Sunrises collection was shot in Autumn.

Morning my friends,

Happy Friday!

As I posted last night on Instagram, this morning I had some good intentions to go in the water to take some shots but unfortunately it didn't go to plan. While I was about to leave the house at 5:30am, my daughter Charlotte woke up with a massive cough so I had to look after her instead - poor girl!

Instead, I went down late, after the first lights to join my mates for coffee and swim. I'm glad I did as it was actually looking pretty amazing around 7:15ish. Here are all the shots that I took in literally 10 minutes. Basically, it was not bright and early but bright and late ;)

Other than this a friend of a friend has done a pretty cool video about the Bondi Beach Brutes gang, the guys that hang out at the North Bondi jungle gym on weekends to do amazing gym sesh and compare muscles. Here it is Bodies of Bondi featuring the very famous Dimitri & Marcus. Where are you Stan? Good work Tom!

Morning my friends,

Hope you had a great weekend and scored some waves.

This morning was just magnificent, between the mist and the incredible sunrise, it was just a fantastic show to watch. Lucky, all this happened just after our interval run to Bronte and back. Tough to run under this temperature but I guess you feel good afterwards...

The water temperature dropped a little since this weekend but it's still the right time of the year to go for a morning dip.

This morning was a cracker! The pink clouds were just incredible - hope you had a chance to witness it.

We did some hill sprints, push-up and plank action with Bertie behind the Bergs. Great way to finish off the week, once again it was hot and sticky but ehh we are not going to complain...

The swim to cool off was incredible, the water temperature divine and the water clarity out of this world.

Morning my friends,

Happy Valentine's Day to all the lovers and the ones looking for the one.

This morning was all about bursts, it all started by a burst of pink in the sky and then grey and a burst of sun and back to grey. You really had to pick the right time to take photos as it was only lasting a few minutes.

Other than this, yesterday I was invited to a pretty cool event organised by the talented Luc Wiesman, the guy behind Dmarge at the Tag Heuer flagship. It was all about the Art Of The TAG Heuer 'Calibre Heuer 01' in-house movement. If you are a watch nerd like me you would have loved it. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Mine was pretty amazing, spent the entire weekend with eleven mates in Copacabana, next to Avoca Beach for a surf weekend. While it was pretty flat around Bondi Beach, the waves were pumping over there!

This morning, too knacked to train, I just went down for photos, coffee and swim with my mate Dave. The water is delicious at the moment, well worth going for a dip guys.

No mates with me this morning so I ventured down to Bronte pool to take some photos. I picked the right day for it, the sunrise was incredible, there were heaps of people in the pool (ie. heaps of photo opportunities) and it was Friday so everyone had a smile on their face.

What an amazing morning! I spent my whole morning in the ocean taking photos of the waves and surfers around me.

I reckon I picked the right day for it, the sunrise was a cracker, the water delicious and there were some waves. A bit dumpy to be honest but well worth a paddle if you don't fear breaking your board in half, like me last weekend. My beloved Softlite foamie is gone... Perfect timing for my surf weekend in two days!

Morning gang,

Hope you all had a good night sleep or a great day for my overseas friends.

Wow, today Bondi was packed. I'm not sure the exact reason except probably that it was just a beautiful morning down there. There were runners, walkers, jungle gymmers, surfers, photographers and lazy f***ers (sorry, I had to do the rhyme!)

Other than this, thanks for all your kind messages about the AirBnB gig, I really appreciate it. And my apologies for yesterday's newsletter there were a lot of typos, that I have now fixed on the blog but can't do on the newsletter once it's sent! ;( The thing is that I try to squeeze everything before I head to work so I tend to rush the writing bit.

Les archives. Another day, another rainy day… As I could see it was not raining, I ventured down much later than usual, around 6:45 am. I just arrived and a light drizzle started. What are the chances?! I joined my mates for a quick dip in the ocean and coffee at Chapter One (my unofficial gallery, they have five of my prints on the wall). Still worth going out, if you ask me… Have a great day my friends and stay warm as it’s a bit nippy at the moment. Ciao, Amo PS: I’m going camping this weekend with a bunch of mates but pretty sure I don’t have the right equipment to cope with the cold. I only have a summer sleeping bag… It’s going to be fun, they say. 🤦🏽‍♂️🥶

Rainy days. Do you know what rainy days mean? It means archive days. Here are photos from the past couple of months, most of them were my second favourite ones so you wouldn’t have seen them before. As you know, I love doing my Morning Bondi routine but it actually takes so much time. I’m talking about the photo bit especially. At the moment, I take photos from 6:30ish when the sun is up for roughly 30-40 minutes, then selection of the good photos for 20 mins, light edit the best ones for 10 mins, then write the morning blurb for 3-5 mins (I tend not to overthink this, as you can tell), then upload of each individual photos on the blog for 10 minutes, then newsletter for 5 minutes, then Instagram for 3 minutes, Facebook 3 minutes and Instagram Story 3 minutes. Basically, around 1.5 hours on average. So yes sometimes, I’m glad when it’s raining as I’m saving so much time. Have a beautiful day, despite the weather, and chat with you tomorrow, Xoxo Amo

Golden Sea. Slow start this morning, it was pretty average unless you could wait up to 8am (I couldn’t) to see the sun popping out behind the curtain of clouds. It was all about the golden reflection of the hidden sun on the water. Gold 24-carat for a few minutes. I don’t have much to tell you today except that if you live locally and love ‘Shark Tank’ TV show, you will love the local version of it. It’s called the Bondi Innovation Shark Tank organised by the @bondichamber and it’s next Wednesday at @hotelravesis You can find all the deets in the media release and book your tickets on the blog. I’m going with my awesome business partner Mary Proulx and supporting Sam Cust, one of the sharks (I think that’s what we call them). If you come down, let’s have a beer and break bread (what I love the most about our business name is that the puns are endless). I loaf you! (see) Amo

Nothing to worry about, it's just a tornado off North Bondi, ... 🌪️😲 I took this photo this morning around 9:30 am. I was shooting with @versefinejewellery in South Bondi when we saw this waterspout tornado coming out of nowhere. Scary much? Look closely and you can see the person around Ben Buckler's cliffs running for his life... That's all folks!

Pure Heaven. What another beautiful start to the day! While yesterday was all about big waves, today was all about the mad reflo on the sand - absolutely stunning. I was sitting just next to Morning Bondi HQ and was snapping like a maniac. Low-tide goodness. What a stunning morning! Today was all about the low-tide gold reflection. It was just the perfect conditions for photos. The problem, only a few people out including two metal hunters. I was with fellow Frenchy @dianeperreau all morning. I reckon she’s the most popular French person in Sydney. So many people are stopping her every morning to have a chat and take a selfie with her. Have a lovely day my friends, Ciao, Amo

Into the wild. What a cracker of a morning! For a change of scenery, I ventured down to Bronte this morning. I reckon I made the right choice, it was just an incredible show. I was with my mate @paolocattaneophoto for the entire morning and we were just looking at the waves rolling in. Bronte Pool was the best place in da house. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen the very rare video of me talking to the camera. With @bread_agency, my agency, I recently started working with the team from @in2thewild.aus, the best tiny houses business around. In order to have a better understanding of the experience, the client kindly invited me to go for a couple of days with my wife and daughter. Real legends, best onboarding! The whole experience was amazing - especially for someone like me that is pretty hyperactive. I just ‘re-wilded’ for two days. Even though the network was working where we were, I put my phone in airplane mode the whole weekend and made the most of the experience. The tiny house was kitted with all the things that you need, all the products in there are premium and sourced from ethical brands. Let’s be honest the firepit and outdoor bath were the highlights for me. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are like me and struggle to switch off. FriYay. How’s everyone today? After two days in Melbs (Melbourne for the hipsters), I’m back in the hood. What a morning! Incredible light, the surf was ON and the Icebergs was packed - perfect for photo ops. This morning I caught up with my mate Ben, a fellow Frenchy that I haven’t seen for years. We hung out around the Bergs and finished with a swim in South Bondi - how original. Enjoy your weekends my friends. Mine is going to be pretty epic. I’m going into the wild, literally.
