Morning my friends,

Sun is back, so am I!

It was well worth getting drenched at 5:45am this morning on my way down the beach. At 7am everything was forgotten and it ended up being pretty amazing!

It was so nice to see a bit of sunshine after this horrendous weather that we had the last couple of days! The only amazing thing that I saw in the last two days was the sunset last night. You can see it on my personal Instagram Stories before it disappears @amaurytreguer (you just need to click on my profile pic) The sky turned all pink for 5 minutes tops! Very apocalyptic, I was expecting to see an army of Martians dropping by in Paddo! ;)

Hola amigos,

TGIF (Thank God It's Friday) After a pretty busy week, I'm so glad that it's finally Friday...

I actually have another busy week next week but then I'm on holidays so can't really complain - Can I?

This morning was stunning. From the first lights at 5:45am till 7:40am when I left the beach. We did hill sprints with Paul, coffees with the rest of the gang at Chapter One and then photos and swim.

That was far the busiest day of the week, I saw 50 people all up ;) Besides the fact that it's cold and there are less photo opportunities, winter is definitely the best time to go down the beach. You feel like you have Bondi for yourself! No joke except the surfers surfing the tiny waves in front of the lifeguard tower, I was by myself in the water (and obviously the whales cruising and breaching around Ben Bucker)! So nice...

Wow! Another amazing morning down in paradise...

After a fairly big night out with work, the only thing that I was dying to do this morning was to go for a dip in the ocean and that's exactly what I did. By far the best way to cure a hangover... I almost feel as fresh as I was feeling before all the beers and gin & tonic that I had last night.

Enough about me, this morning was just beautiful and very peaceful - not much happening except probably the fashion shoot happening at Morning Bondi HQ (Yes, I'm talking about the platform above the public toilets in South Bondi!)

Morning fellas,

How stunning was this morning!!

The sky turned all pink, that's actually the reason why I called the album Pink Paradise (no link whatsoever with the Parisian strip club, you dirty mind!) ;)

We did boxing with Paul and Kim and I had to stop before my last round to take photos. Such a nice way to get interrupted! Then, the usual routine, coffee at Chapter One, chit chat with my morning friends and swim. I know it's hard to believe but the water was incredible...

Morning peeps,

Hope you all had a great long weekend. Mine was not too bad except that I had to work a fair bit for the big presentation that I have today.

This morning was nippy (9 degrees at 5:30am) but once the sun was up, it got slightly better and the water was great. I know a lot of people tend to tell me that I'm crazy to still go for swims but I'm not that crazy. The water is 10 degrees warmer than outside and it's by far the best way to wake up!

Morning my friends,

How good was this morning?! It was just incredible!!!

After finishing work at midnight last night, I nearly slept in but I'm so so glad that I didn't... It was well worth waking up. Very hard to compete with a start of the day like this.

As I was saying yesterday, I've had a hell of a week and it's continuing as we speak. If this morning was not as beautiful, I wouldn't have bothered with a blog post and a newsletter but I feel like it would have been a shame. So here you go my friends and hope you appreciate the effort! ;)

Morning my friends,

Happy Friday!

It was an amazing light show down there. The sun was fighting against the heavy clouds, the rain and the strong wind.

All the photos that you are about to see were all taken in literally 10 minutes and I put them in chronological order so you can enjoy exactly what I saw. Crazy right?! One of the most efficient updates I've ever done... It was well worth getting wet!

On another note, last night I was invited by my friend Viktoria to go to the Sound Healing Meditation class that I was telling you about a few weeks ago. If you know me, you would know that it's definitely not the type of things that I would usually do. I was actually quite sceptical about the whole thing but in fact I actually really enjoyed it and I slept very well last night too! Double bonus! Autumn Bliss

Morning my friends,

Let's be honest, we can't really complain about the weather... After a pretty epic Summer, Autumn is incredible so far!

Yes this morning was a bit nippy, 11 degrees, but after two rounds of boxing, I was personally warm enough. At 7:15am, I was even jumping in the water for a quick dip!

This morning, in the middle of our boxing session, the sky decided to get on fire. We quickly stopped, took a few shots and went straight back at it.

Then the usual routine: coffee at Chapter One (best coffee shop to watch the sunrise), Morning Bondi HQ (platform above the public toilets) and Icebergs.

Morning peeps,

What a morning! It was meant to be grey, potentially raining and dull and in fact it ended being the total opposite.

My first tip, never trust the weather forecast in Australia, they are pretty much always wrong. My second one, just go down every morning as there is always something good to see anyway.

On a very sad note, not sure if you have seen this yesterday but a whale got caught up in fishing ropes and lines in Bondi and unfortunately is in a very bad condition and lost. Very sad! Read more here.

Hola amigos,

Another day, another bush fire somewhere... When I woke up at 5:30am the smell was pretty strong! Very smokey!

The only advantage of these fires is that it creates pretty epic colours in the sky.

We went to the jungle gym with the gang: Paul, Bertie, Carlos and then David joined us for the lazy bits: coffee, chit chat at Morning Bondi HQ (Yes it's an actual place, please like the Page and tag yourself when you are on the platform) and swim.

Morning my friends,

Well well well... It would be lying if I was telling that today was a cracker! It wasn't really, just a very calm and peaceful Monday morning with not much happening except probably my friend Kerry from Bondi Bather getting interviewed by Sunrise, Channel 7.

Kerry Cusack started Bondi Bather a few years ago, by using local photographers photos and printing them on bikinis. Her shop used to be in the same street as I was living, Roscoe Street and has now moved to Gould Street, the best shopping street in Bondi Beach with brands like Venroy, Orlebar Brown, Tuchuzy for the ladies, Academy Brand... and Saturdays NYC a bit further up.

Anyway, Kerry is killing it and her collections have evolved, being recognised globally and Bondi Bather is now part of the same group as Jets Swimwear (The PAS Group). Good on you Kerry - very proud of you!

Morning my friends,

Happy Friday!

Today was probably a bit less spectacular than the last few days but I was with most of my mates so it didn't really matter to be honest.

We joined for coffee at Chapter One, our meeting point and then headed to Morning Bondi HQ, which is the platform above the public toilets South Bondi (I know, sexy, right?!) for some chit chats and photos. Basically, what Morning Bondi is all about: spending some quality time with my mates before heading to work.

On a more serious note, a friend asked me to help out and share the following. After looking at the cause and the beautiful short film, I didn't hesitate for a minute. Today is International Missing Children’s Day and some film industry dads in Sydney got together to make an impactful little film and a website for parents to learn more about child protection. Morning my friends,

Another day another late one... My apologies but squeezing everything before heading to work can sometimes be a bit challenging.

The moment I arrive home, I start my amazing race, getting ready for work, brekkie, uploading photos, selecting the best ones out of 170-200 photos, looking after my daughter, light editing of the photos, exporting the best ones, changing my daughter's nappy, washing my hands, writing my blog post (yes I'm talking about the cr*p that you are currently reading), making the bed, writing the Facebook status, the Tweet, cleaning my breakfast table, selecting the best photo for Instagram, uploading the Insta Story, getting the newsletter ready, taking the rubbish out... and heading to work!

I'm tired just by writing this...

Anyway today was beautiful once again.

Morning my friends,

How's everyone today? Good night sleep? Mine was pretty rubbish if you want to know. At the moment my body clock wakes me up everyday around 4:30am. Very annoying!

Anyway, who cares about my sleep (except me), I joined my mate Paul for a jungle gym sesh, then the usual coffee and photos.

Trust me there is never a dull moment in Bondi, this morning we were welcomed by a Bin Bouquet. As I was saying earlier this morning on Instagram, an amazing initiative by Sean Cook (@mrcookthefloristwhich) He's recycling flowers from past events and decorates bins with them. I don't know if you are like me but it's that type of actions that I believe restore faith in humanity. Good on you mate! 🙌🏼 It actually made me so happy that I decided to interview him, check my Instagram Story by clicking on my profile pic.

Unfortunately, this beautiful art installation didn't stay long and has already been removed by the Waverley Council. Don't you think that they focus their efforts on the wrong things? Shouldn't they remove all the crap around the streets or fixing the jungle gym water tap before getting rid of beautiful flowers? Anyway...

On another interesting note, the shark alarm went off again this morning (second time in a month) and trust me in no time, all the surfers were out of the water. Great show to watch!

Morning my friends,

MMM for Marvellous Monday Morning. That's right, it was just amazing this morning and very quiet so only a few had a chance to witness the incredible sunrise.

I'm far from being a futurist or a meteorologist but this morning when I arrived down the beach at 6am I could predict that it was going to be a cracker. The horizon line was already looking pretty spectacular with some thin clouds all over the beach.

I ran from Bondi to Bronte and back in less than 25 minutes (not showing off here, actually a tiny bit) but I just didn't want to miss it and I did well.

After a fairly busy week at work, between launching three new websites, working on two pitches at the same time and the PRIA workshop, I was just happy to spend some quality time with my wife and daughter. We ventured down the beach quite late, around 7am and stay for a bit less than an hour - time to take a coffee, a quick stroll and a swim for me.

Hide & Seek

Morning my friends,

Wow this morning was extremely windy... When I arrived down the beach, it was pretty rough and not very enjoyable so we end up hiding behind a wall to do boxing.

The sun was playing hide and seek with the clouds all morning. I obviously concentrated the majority of the photos when the sun was out.

Other than this, please don't expect photos from me tomorrow as I have an early start. For the ones that don't know, I work in Social Media and tomorrow I will be teaching 30 people how to design and implement a social strategy. Pressure is ON! Morning my friends,

What a morning! It was just incrediiiiible down there...

As I was putting on Instagram and Facebook, my apologies for the late update but busy morning with heaps of meetings and I took probably too much shots to chose from.

The waves were incredible with heaps of surfers making the most of them. The usual gang was there obviously: Joel Pilgrim, Chris Little, Chris Friendy, Tom Naylor...

On another note, if you are into meditation, yoga and relaxation. One of my friends is organising this event on the 31st of May. It's a 90-minute full moon Sound Healing journey where you will experience the magical healing waves of our 300-year-old Tibetan singing bowls. I have no idea what that means but I'm sure it's very pleasurable! ;)

Les archives. Another day, another rainy day… As I could see it was not raining, I ventured down much later than usual, around 6:45 am. I just arrived and a light drizzle started. What are the chances?! I joined my mates for a quick dip in the ocean and coffee at Chapter One (my unofficial gallery, they have five of my prints on the wall). Still worth going out, if you ask me… Have a great day my friends and stay warm as it’s a bit nippy at the moment. Ciao, Amo PS: I’m going camping this weekend with a bunch of mates but pretty sure I don’t have the right equipment to cope with the cold. I only have a summer sleeping bag… It’s going to be fun, they say. 🤦🏽‍♂️🥶

Rainy days. Do you know what rainy days mean? It means archive days. Here are photos from the past couple of months, most of them were my second favourite ones so you wouldn’t have seen them before. As you know, I love doing my Morning Bondi routine but it actually takes so much time. I’m talking about the photo bit especially. At the moment, I take photos from 6:30ish when the sun is up for roughly 30-40 minutes, then selection of the good photos for 20 mins, light edit the best ones for 10 mins, then write the morning blurb for 3-5 mins (I tend not to overthink this, as you can tell), then upload of each individual photos on the blog for 10 minutes, then newsletter for 5 minutes, then Instagram for 3 minutes, Facebook 3 minutes and Instagram Story 3 minutes. Basically, around 1.5 hours on average. So yes sometimes, I’m glad when it’s raining as I’m saving so much time. Have a beautiful day, despite the weather, and chat with you tomorrow, Xoxo Amo

Golden Sea. Slow start this morning, it was pretty average unless you could wait up to 8am (I couldn’t) to see the sun popping out behind the curtain of clouds. It was all about the golden reflection of the hidden sun on the water. Gold 24-carat for a few minutes. I don’t have much to tell you today except that if you live locally and love ‘Shark Tank’ TV show, you will love the local version of it. It’s called the Bondi Innovation Shark Tank organised by the @bondichamber and it’s next Wednesday at @hotelravesis You can find all the deets in the media release and book your tickets on the blog. I’m going with my awesome business partner Mary Proulx and supporting Sam Cust, one of the sharks (I think that’s what we call them). If you come down, let’s have a beer and break bread (what I love the most about our business name is that the puns are endless). I loaf you! (see) Amo

Nothing to worry about, it's just a tornado off North Bondi, ... 🌪️😲 I took this photo this morning around 9:30 am. I was shooting with @versefinejewellery in South Bondi when we saw this waterspout tornado coming out of nowhere. Scary much? Look closely and you can see the person around Ben Buckler's cliffs running for his life... That's all folks!

Pure Heaven. What another beautiful start to the day! While yesterday was all about big waves, today was all about the mad reflo on the sand - absolutely stunning. I was sitting just next to Morning Bondi HQ and was snapping like a maniac. Low-tide goodness. What a stunning morning! Today was all about the low-tide gold reflection. It was just the perfect conditions for photos. The problem, only a few people out including two metal hunters. I was with fellow Frenchy @dianeperreau all morning. I reckon she’s the most popular French person in Sydney. So many people are stopping her every morning to have a chat and take a selfie with her. Have a lovely day my friends, Ciao, Amo

Into the wild. What a cracker of a morning! For a change of scenery, I ventured down to Bronte this morning. I reckon I made the right choice, it was just an incredible show. I was with my mate @paolocattaneophoto for the entire morning and we were just looking at the waves rolling in. Bronte Pool was the best place in da house. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen the very rare video of me talking to the camera. With @bread_agency, my agency, I recently started working with the team from @in2thewild.aus, the best tiny houses business around. In order to have a better understanding of the experience, the client kindly invited me to go for a couple of days with my wife and daughter. Real legends, best onboarding! The whole experience was amazing - especially for someone like me that is pretty hyperactive. I just ‘re-wilded’ for two days. Even though the network was working where we were, I put my phone in airplane mode the whole weekend and made the most of the experience. The tiny house was kitted with all the things that you need, all the products in there are premium and sourced from ethical brands. Let’s be honest the firepit and outdoor bath were the highlights for me. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are like me and struggle to switch off. FriYay. How’s everyone today? After two days in Melbs (Melbourne for the hipsters), I’m back in the hood. What a morning! Incredible light, the surf was ON and the Icebergs was packed - perfect for photo ops. This morning I caught up with my mate Ben, a fellow Frenchy that I haven’t seen for years. We hung out around the Bergs and finished with a swim in South Bondi - how original. Enjoy your weekends my friends. Mine is going to be pretty epic. I’m going into the wild, literally.
