Smokin'

Morning peeps,

Today was smokin' and when I say this I mean it... There must have been a bush fire somewhere as it was smelling smoke.

Smoke means epic sunrise and that's exactly what we had this morning. It all started pretty grey but when the sun popped up it was just incredible. I took 300 photos this morning, hence the late update, way too many to chose from.

On another news, the shark alarm went off this morning. A hammer head was spotted North Bondi. Size? Bigger than a rescue board! What?! Basically we are talking 9 feet. Decent size! All the surfers went out of the water and Michael, Bondi Lifeguards, went out to go and try the shark with his jet ski.

What a great morning!

Morning my friends,

How are you today?! Today was pretty cloudy but I'm talking nice clouds not the ones that call the rain, more the ones that you want to look at and take photos of. 

This morning, we did a speedy session at the jungle gym, then what we do best: coffee, photos and swim. Today, we were also joined by my friends Amélie and Erik coming all the way from Paris and keen to experience what Morning Bondi is all about. They loved it! Of course, who wouldn't want to hang out with mates and do all the above before heading to work?!

MONDAY

Morning peeps,

How was your weekend?! Mine was pretty damn good. 

We went out on Saturday night with a few friends for our good mate Hamish who was back in town for one night only. Hamish used to be part of the Morning Bondi crew but deserted to go and live in HK. We had dinner at the new Panama House in The Pacific building - not bad at all, we took the $65 set menu and food was pretty generous. The bill too but that's probably because we had way too much to drink. Here is a photo of our Saturday night - how cool is that! 

Then Sunday was pretty relaxed and cured our hangovers at the rocks North Bondi. See all the Stories on Morning Bondi Insta and my personal The Olympus waterhousing is just amazing - it helps me capture all the fun!  

Today I was by myself so went for a run and a few photos in places around Bondi where I've never been.

Morning Bondi!

What a fantastic start of the day! When I looked at the weather forecast last night, it was saying chances of rain in the morning - lucky they got it wrong! 

Too tired to exercise, I just went down for the fun bits: coffee, photos and swim with my good mates Julius and Paul.

The sunrise was a cracker, the light bright and the water incredible. That's the way I like it...

Other than this, one of the best coffee shop for breakfast and lunch in Bondi just featured me on their page. Such a lovely gesture! Thanks for the kind words Julie & Seb!

Morning my friends,

How are you today? Today was a typical Bondi morning - beautiful pink colours in the sky to start with, heaps of happy people all around making the most of their mornings, then the iconic golden light over the whole beach and bumping into the usual crew - the ones that all year long like me can't start their days without a dose of fresh air and salty water! 

Thank you so much to all of you yesterday for all your comments on the wave photo on Insta, I knew that I could count on you. You cannot imagine how grateful I am to see all your likes, shares and especially comments on my posts. It definitely pushes me to keep going... So thank you my friends for your love and support!! You rock guys!

Morning my friends,

Today was very different than we had the last couple of weeks...

It all started pretty grey and uninspiring with not much colours in the sky, than came some pretty epic pinkish clouds which were creating a pretty interesting contrast with the ocean.

Then when you thought it was all going back to grey, a rainbow appeared. Who said rainbow say rain too... I was stupidly taking all these photos under the rain but ehh I wanted to share this beauty with you. #SharingIsCaring

Morning my friends,

4:30am, that's the time I woke up this morning. Why? I have no idea but at least I went to the beach earlier than usual. I was down there by 5:35am.

The light was pretty spectacular and took a few photos but mainly blurry to be honest. That's the problem of not using a tripod!

Then run with my mate Bertie up to Bronte and back while stopping along the way to all the bars. Good sweat for a Monday!

Happy Friday!

How is everyone today? What a beautiful morning! I'm very glad I went down the beach for a much needed strong coffee and anti-hangover swim.

That's right, as suspected, we had way too much fun last night. Fourteen guys getting loose on a Thursday night - not your standard school night. B.B.P.B is a very cool place and quite affordable ($15 for burger & beer) - we were all amazed that there were not that many people around. Here is a photo of some of us (missing a few on the photo: Anthony, Francky, Arnaud & Patrick).

How is everyone today? Personally I'm pumped as tonight it's boys night with 12 of my good mates. Get ready Bondi Beach Public Bar (B.B.P.B), this is s*** loads of testosterones for one place to handle! 

Once again this morning was pretty sensational... The weather, the big sweat by training at the jungle gym, the fantastic water temperature and being with my mates Bertie & Paul.

What a morning! I know I tend to repeat myself a fair bit but today was just amazing. Very hard to beat a day like this.

Between the first light, the sunrise (I was running at that time), the bright light, the massive shorey and all the happy people around... By far the best way to start your week feeling energised!

Morning my friends,

Today it was looking all Sepia. It must have been because it was cloudy & sunny all at the same time. I know it sounds a bit weird but that's pretty much what this morning was all about. Very strange sky with the light changing from one minute to another. I obviously concentrated all the photos when it was all sunny. 

For a little change, I went down the beach with my daughter. I think she loves it as much as I do... How lucky is she: being born, raised in Sydney and able to go down to the beach in the morning with her daddy. Definitely different than my childhood back in Paris... Don't get me wrong, I loved it but the beach was only in summer time in the South of France!

What a perfect Autumn morning and the sun was up early - perfect! 

This morning, as every Thursday, we went for a jungle gym session with the crew, then for a change went to Porch & Parlour (Will Smith favourite coffee joint - check his Insta), then photos and swim in North Bondi.

There were heaps of photo shoots going on this morning. I ended-up doing one myself with the girls from Axel & Ash - great bunch of girls that started their own publishing business. I've known them for years and what they've started is very impressive. They are stocked all over the world. You should go and check out their different books

OMG

Morning guys,

Oh My Gawd what a cracker of a morning... Everything was just incredible.

• First of all, I was with almost all my mates (Paul, Bertie, Carlos & Juju) - what Morning Bondi is all about
• Second, the sunrise was just gold and when I say gold I mean it - check the photos below
• Third, the water was just delicious, I could have stayed longer but I was already fairly late
• Fourth, I bumped into all the early birds who like me love starting their days by the ocean
• Fifth, today is the last day of work before a four-day weekend
• Sixth, I'm going to Tassie for Easter (Tasmania for the non-Aussies) and that's going to be epic! 

I could go on but I feel like it's a bit boring...

Morning guys,

Another day another late update... Looking forward for daylight savings in the next few days so that I can stop being late. 

This morning was just sun-sational, especially around 7:10am when the sun decided to pop-up behind North Bondi. The light, the clouds, the surf... What else could you ask for really?! That's actually for mornings like this that I succeed to drag myself out of bed every morning at 5:30am. 

We did boxing with my mate Paul, always good to smash the pads to release the pressure. Then the usual drill: coffee at Chapter One, photos and swim in the shorey South Bondi. A bit rough but perfect to wake you up.

My apologies for the late update but fairly busy morning with back to back meetings up to now. I have 15 minutes in front of me to do it all before my next meeting! #BusyBee

Wow this morning was surprisingly chilly, nothing major but when the temperatures drop by 5-7 degrees, it does make a big difference. Hence the "Aglagla" which is typical French to say "God, it's colder than I thought it was going to be". Basically what I felt this morning at 5:45am when I left my place without a jumper on. 

We went to the jungle gym with Paul & Carlos, then what we do best: coffee, chit chat, photos and swim. Love this little routine! By far, the best way to start your day...

This morning the sunrise popped-up at exactly 7:10am - we already did our exercise, coffee and just finished our swim. Then I only had 20 minutes to take all the photos. 

Once done, I need to rush back home to select the good ones, quick editing, post them and off to work... It's such a race in the morning but I guess it's well worth it?!

What an amazing weekend we had (36 degrees yesterday arvo) and today is meant to be 30 degrees... Hard to believe that we are already 19 days in Autumn and we still have these type of temperatures. Global warming is for real! 

Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was very relaxing especially after the last 3 mad weeks that I had. We went to the Icebergs on Sunday morning - definitely one of the best places to cope with the heat. See all my photos on my personal Instagram @amaurytreguer

Back in Business

Morning my friends,

It feels like it's been an eternity that I haven't been writing a blog post... actually 11 days in total! 

After looking after my daughter on my own for 15 days, my wife is finally back so is my life!! ;) It was definitely challenging to do it all by myself but I'm glad I did. I have all respect for singe parents, it's by far the hardest job in the world!! 

Anyway, today was a beauty, woke up at 5:30am ouch! (I forgot how hard it was), went for a Bondi-Bronte run with my mate Bertie, then coffee with Julius, swim and quick stroll with my mate David. I missed our routine!!

Apparently it's meant to be a pretty awful week, weather wise so don't expect much photos.

Morning peeps,

Well Autumn started pretty well... It was a late sunrise due to the massive clouds but ehh can't complain and it was fitting quite nicely with my schedule anyway.

There was a fair bit of wind so a windsurfer was out making the most of it. I bet he's French. It appears that all windsurfers in Bondi are French. I know, it's weird but it's a thing! François Régis was it you?

Went down to join my mate Paul, Juju, Brundog and even Franky did a guest appearance... Good to hang out with the boys (and my daughter) before work!
