Morning my friends,

What an amazing morning! Yes it was a tiny bit chilly but god it was stunning!

Apparently, it was the coolest night that we had this winter (2 degrees) - I didn't feel it under the doona but definitely when I got out of my place at 6am.

The waves were pretty good this morning, I would have love to have my new Soflite board with me. It's this one 7'00" black & fluro Best board on the market for beginners or even more advanced! Thanks to the Softlite team for looking after me!

Other than this, this morning I met and interviewed the three guys behind the Drone Shark App. Great bunch of guys looking after all the morning surfers! Check my Instagram Story here (you just need to click on my profile pic).

Morning peeps,

What an interesting start of the day! Basically, with this cloud formation, the sun played hide and seek all morning. Let's be honest, it was far from being easy to take some decent photos.

I basically had to be at the right place at the right moment when the sun was putting the spotlight on one portion of the beach, 1 to 2 minutes at a time. Almost all the photos were taken when the light was ON!

On another note, yesterday, I celebrated a pretty big milestone. That's right, there are now 20,000 of you that follow me on Instagram. Pretty proud and once again thanks for your daily support over the years!

Morning my friends,

Let's not complain on this Moan-day morning but let's be honest that was far from being exciting! Very windy with only a minute of colours.

We went down to the jungle with my good mate Bertie for some reps of push-pull-abs. So much fun! ;) Then coffee with Simon, photos and swim. Yes I went in, yes I was the only one but ehh it's still the best way to wake up!

On another note, since I've posted my favourite photo 'First in, first ripples' on Friday, a lot of people have been asking me if I was selling prints. I do and I ship internationally too! See all the details here and the exact same photo printed and framed in 1.80m by 1.20m Pretty huge!

Morning my friends,

How is everyone today? Two more days and it's the weekend!

This morning there were some clouds in the sky which created interesting colours in the sky. From pink to orange to yellow... Love it!

Inspiration, inspiration, inspiration... That's what I'm missing sometimes! Today is one of those days so I will leave you with the photos and as we all know a picture is worth a thousand words so with nine there should be largely enough!

What's the day today? It's Hump(s) Day! It's the middle of the week and there were some pretty decent waves!

This morning, for a change, I went down to the beach with my daughter. She's having a very tough life: waking up early to go to the beach with daddy with a babyccino in her hands and pointing the shots with the other. My mornings in Paris when I was a kid were very different I can tell you!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Wow what a wild morning! First of all it was freezing cold with this wind and the waves were humongous. Amazing show to watch!

It was that great to watch that we ventured down to Ben Buckler, North Bondi point, with my mate Paul to capture the action. It was very different than Saturday morning, when I took this shot.

There was a pod of 50 dolphins to greet us. Unfortunately, the lens that I was using was a bit too small. See below what I got.

Morning my friends and happy Friday!

This morning was definitely a lot cooler than yesterday. Everything felt a bit more difficult: holding the cold bars at jungle gym, walking down the beach and going for a dip in the ocean.

It's crazy how the temperatures can drop from one day to another... While yesterday it was 15 degrees at 6am, today it was 10 degrees. Believe me, it does make a huge difference and add a bit of wind on top!

Other, than this the lovely team from Google just kindly offered me the latest Pixel 2 XL phone. I've been using the first Pixel phone for years, actually I was one of the first one in Australia - check the whole story here. Since then, I have been a massive fan of the phone and Google too! If you are into photography, the Pixel phone is by far the best one on the market, plus you have unlimited storage of your photos in HD. Pretty handy if like me you snap away like a maniac!

Hola amigos,

What a fantastic start of the day! At 6am, it was 15 degrees outside, can you believe it? I personally couldn't. I had my jumper, puffy jacket and gloves on. After a round of push-pull-abs down at the jungle gym, I was in t-shirt and gloves off - not even joking!

Winter? What is winter? Since I've been back from Europe late July, we've had a terrific weather with only one day of rain. That's almost scary!

Go for a swim, it's incredible!

Morning my friends,

How's everyone today?

As I'm currently at the ICC for the Adobe Symposium event, I had to leave the beach early. Most of the photos from this morning were actually taken before the sun popped up. We are having incredible first lights at the moment, so I got lucky!

You might wonder why freak is the name of the blog post this morning? Well, I've recently been called like this by the luxury watch Ulysse Nardin - check it here. I don't know how to take it?! Well I'm certainly one by waking up everyday at 5:30am and swim in a 14 degrees water.

More seriously, check out the beautiful piece of video that they put together for the launch of their new watch. It looks as expensive and exclusive as the watch itself!

Morning folks!

After a fairly different morning yesterday, I'm back to the daily routine. That's right Bronte is very different than Bondi, much more quiet, and not having a camera crew following me everywhere is definitely different too! ;)

This morning we did jungle gym with Paul and Michael (new Morning Bondi recruit), then the usual coffee, swim, chit chat with my morning mates and swim. Water is a bit chilly (14 degrees atm) but getting out is the worst!

Morning my friends,

Hope you all had a great weekend and you are not too sore (legs or head) after City2Surf.

I could have been with all the Pure Blonde beers that I drank but I stopped before it gets out of control. Thanks again to Pure Blonde and TLA for inviting us at the official City2Surf After Party at North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club. It was a lot of fun! (See some of it on my Instagram Story before it disappears!)

This morning, I had quite an unusual start of the day. First of all, I was in Bronte and not in Bondi and second of all I was followed by a camera crew while doing my usual routine.

As some of you already know, some of my work is available at the blinq.art gallery in Bondi Junction (in the Westfield). You can see it all HERE.

The team reached out a few days ago to see if I wanted to be featured in their promo video - on which I said 'Of course!' A massive thank you to the team at blinq.art (Eva, Christine, Laurent & Cyril) and to the camera crew (Luke & Pat) that was pretty good fun and I can't wait to see the footage!

Morning my friends,

Today was looking a lot like yesterday but with the only difference that there were a bit more waves - nothing to rave about but still good to see. I'm secretly hoping that tomorrow morning will be even bigger when I go for my weekend surf.

The sunrise was very similar than yesterday too - not one cloud in the sky. And, we also did the same thing as yesterday: jungle gym, coffee, photos and swim.

Lake Bondi

Morning my friends,

Another morning, another cracker! It's been a bit more than a week that I'm back from Europe and so far we've only had incredible sunrises.

Today was again Lake Bondi, no waves, just a tiny shorey. The sunrise was cloudless and pretty stunning. We did the usual Thursday drill: jungle gym, coffee at Chapter One, photos and swim.

The Morning Bondi crew is getting slimmer and slimmer with winter and some leaving the hood (Carlos left to go and live in California and Bruno just across the bridge in Crows Nest - how boring guys!)

On another note, last night, I was invited by the watch company Ulysse Nardin to check their brand new Executive Skeleton Tourbillon watch. Pretty incredible piece of high-end watchmaking if you ask me - the price is pretty high-end too (around $70k).

During the event, I had the chance to meet the brains behind Man of Many, Frank Arthur and Scott Purcell - top blokes! They gave me a sneak peek of the new website they are about to launch - pretty sleek!

Morning my friends,

Wow! What a morning! The sky went on fire at 6:35am when I was still in Bellevue Hill. I had to stop, take two photos as I knew it was going to die down before I get to the beach and it did... (still beautiful though!)

This morning, I skipped the training bit and just caught up with my mate Julius for coffee, photos and swim. Hanging out with friends before work is actually a very nice thing to do. You should try if you are not already doing it!

Besides this morning sunrise, I called the blog post WOW as I just wanted to share with you the amazing work that my friends Joel and Mark are doing with Waves Of Wellness (WOW). Over the weekend, they have just raised almost $50k for the program. Check this great video explaining it all and their website for further details. Good on you boys! We need more guys like you in this world!

Morning my friends,

What a week it's been! Winter has never been looking that good! It has almost been a week that I'm back from France and I have only been experiencing beautiful weather. God, we are lucky!

This morning, once again, we went down to the North Bondi outdoor gym, then coffee, photos and swim.

All the photos that I took this morning are with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II I actually forgot how good was this camera. Thanks again to the Olympus team for letting me play with their gear.

One last thing before I leave you to it, my good friends Bertie & Chika are moving out from their apartment in Woollahra to move closer to the beach and their apartment is up for rent. Go and check it out HERE It's not Bondi but trust me it's not bad neither!

Morning peeps,

What else? The waves are back in town, the sunrise was a cracker and I bumped into all my morning friends. Actually, I know what we could add to this good mix, a bit more degrees. At 5:30am, when I went down the beach, it was freeeeeezing cold!

Usual routine: jungle gym, coffee, chit chat with the usual suspects and swim. By far the best way to kick-off your day if you ask me!

Last night, I was invited by Uge from Aquabumps to discover his new 'Underwater Dance' exhibition. If you are into dance or underwater photography or even fashion, you should check it out, it's well worth it!

Morning my friends,

This morning, I woke up later than usual, still feeling a bit jet lagged. I joined my friends Bruno, Julius and Simon for a much needed coffee.

It was a bit chilly outside (12 degrees) but can't really complain as we are in the middle of winter and August is meant to be the coolest month. The water is actually warmer than outside (19 degrees) so going for a swim is actually a good thing to do! Getting out of the water is another story ;)

Morning my friends,

What a stunner! This morning was just incredible... Pretty happy that my second Morning Bondi session was looking that great, especially considering the fact that there hasn't been any sunrises like for quite a while.

The routine is back to normal, we started with jungle gym to get rid of all the cheese, wine, charcuterie and bread that I had for a month, then the best bits: coffee, photos and swim.

Les archives. Another day, another rainy day… As I could see it was not raining, I ventured down much later than usual, around 6:45 am. I just arrived and a light drizzle started. What are the chances?! I joined my mates for a quick dip in the ocean and coffee at Chapter One (my unofficial gallery, they have five of my prints on the wall). Still worth going out, if you ask me… Have a great day my friends and stay warm as it’s a bit nippy at the moment. Ciao, Amo PS: I’m going camping this weekend with a bunch of mates but pretty sure I don’t have the right equipment to cope with the cold. I only have a summer sleeping bag… It’s going to be fun, they say. 🤦🏽‍♂️🥶

Rainy days. Do you know what rainy days mean? It means archive days. Here are photos from the past couple of months, most of them were my second favourite ones so you wouldn’t have seen them before. As you know, I love doing my Morning Bondi routine but it actually takes so much time. I’m talking about the photo bit especially. At the moment, I take photos from 6:30ish when the sun is up for roughly 30-40 minutes, then selection of the good photos for 20 mins, light edit the best ones for 10 mins, then write the morning blurb for 3-5 mins (I tend not to overthink this, as you can tell), then upload of each individual photos on the blog for 10 minutes, then newsletter for 5 minutes, then Instagram for 3 minutes, Facebook 3 minutes and Instagram Story 3 minutes. Basically, around 1.5 hours on average. So yes sometimes, I’m glad when it’s raining as I’m saving so much time. Have a beautiful day, despite the weather, and chat with you tomorrow, Xoxo Amo

Golden Sea. Slow start this morning, it was pretty average unless you could wait up to 8am (I couldn’t) to see the sun popping out behind the curtain of clouds. It was all about the golden reflection of the hidden sun on the water. Gold 24-carat for a few minutes. I don’t have much to tell you today except that if you live locally and love ‘Shark Tank’ TV show, you will love the local version of it. It’s called the Bondi Innovation Shark Tank organised by the @bondichamber and it’s next Wednesday at @hotelravesis You can find all the deets in the media release and book your tickets on the blog. I’m going with my awesome business partner Mary Proulx and supporting Sam Cust, one of the sharks (I think that’s what we call them). If you come down, let’s have a beer and break bread (what I love the most about our business name is that the puns are endless). I loaf you! (see) Amo

Nothing to worry about, it's just a tornado off North Bondi, ... 🌪️😲 I took this photo this morning around 9:30 am. I was shooting with @versefinejewellery in South Bondi when we saw this waterspout tornado coming out of nowhere. Scary much? Look closely and you can see the person around Ben Buckler's cliffs running for his life... That's all folks!

Pure Heaven. What another beautiful start to the day! While yesterday was all about big waves, today was all about the mad reflo on the sand - absolutely stunning. I was sitting just next to Morning Bondi HQ and was snapping like a maniac. Low-tide goodness. What a stunning morning! Today was all about the low-tide gold reflection. It was just the perfect conditions for photos. The problem, only a few people out including two metal hunters. I was with fellow Frenchy @dianeperreau all morning. I reckon she’s the most popular French person in Sydney. So many people are stopping her every morning to have a chat and take a selfie with her. Have a lovely day my friends, Ciao, Amo

Into the wild. What a cracker of a morning! For a change of scenery, I ventured down to Bronte this morning. I reckon I made the right choice, it was just an incredible show. I was with my mate @paolocattaneophoto for the entire morning and we were just looking at the waves rolling in. Bronte Pool was the best place in da house. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen the very rare video of me talking to the camera. With @bread_agency, my agency, I recently started working with the team from @in2thewild.aus, the best tiny houses business around. In order to have a better understanding of the experience, the client kindly invited me to go for a couple of days with my wife and daughter. Real legends, best onboarding! The whole experience was amazing - especially for someone like me that is pretty hyperactive. I just ‘re-wilded’ for two days. Even though the network was working where we were, I put my phone in airplane mode the whole weekend and made the most of the experience. The tiny house was kitted with all the things that you need, all the products in there are premium and sourced from ethical brands. Let’s be honest the firepit and outdoor bath were the highlights for me. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are like me and struggle to switch off. FriYay. How’s everyone today? After two days in Melbs (Melbourne for the hipsters), I’m back in the hood. What a morning! Incredible light, the surf was ON and the Icebergs was packed - perfect for photo ops. This morning I caught up with my mate Ben, a fellow Frenchy that I haven’t seen for years. We hung out around the Bergs and finished with a swim in South Bondi - how original. Enjoy your weekends my friends. Mine is going to be pretty epic. I’m going into the wild, literally.
