Brrr...

Morning gang,

What a morning!!

The place to be this morning was Ben Buckler and guess what? This is exactly where I was at sunrise. There were so many whales cruising along, including three magnificent ones pretty close to the rocks.

The only con was the cold wind, I was shaking like a fragile leaf about to fall - even pressing my camera’s trigger was a challenge, not even joking.

Then I went to my usual spot in South Bondi for more action. Whales breaching on the horizon and all that.

As I'm on my way to see our clients P&O Cruises, I just wanted to remind you to enter the competition to win a cruise. It's that simple that you would be mad not to. The only thing is that if you win, I come with you. Deal? πŸ«±πŸ»β€πŸ«²πŸ½

Hola team,

Hope you've all had a great weekend.

This morning was pretty chilly. 5 degrees. Yep, not the warmest of all. It was so quiet down here, only the bravest souls were down there. Fair enough!

I would have happily stayed in bed but the sunrise was too nice to miss and I was catching up with my mate Raphael. The legend behind Watch the Source. He sources the best timepieces in town. If like me, you like watches, you will love his account. I sadly can't afford any at the moment but one day I will certainly commission him to find me one. He's the best in business. My 40th is on the 15th of September, probably a great gift from all the Morning Bondi community?! πŸ€ͺ

The swim was refreshing, to say the least, but you never regret it. The reward is to go back home to a hot shower.

Have a wonderful week, mine is going to be busy but eh two more weeks before I head to France for the holidays so can't really complain. Can I?

Enjoy my friends,

Whale of a time

Morning beautiful people,

What a start to the day!

I saw at least 8 whales cruising along the coast, what a show. On days like this, I regret not having a drone.

After last night's event, finishing around 11 pm, I needed a beauty sleep this morning so I rock up at 7 am just before sunrise. Perfect timing!

Friday or not, it was pretty quiet down the South end except at the Icebergs obviously, always good to see a bit of activity.

Have an awesome weekend and chat with you on Monday,

Thursday Big Day

Morning gang,

How's everyone today? Cold? I bet!

This morning was stunning but bloody freezing. 6 degrees, lucky the water was a lot warmer. Yeah, I'm a bit cray-cray but this is still by far the best way of waking up. You certainly feel alive after taking a good dose of Vitamin Sea. Three times underwater, that's Blake’s rule and I always stick to it.

Today is a big day, we are hosting a roundtable dinner with 50+ marketers keen to know more about Livestream Shopping. We are organising the first Liveshopping event in Australia. Bread is on a roll! You've heard it first. Wish us luck! πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ€

Morning gang,

How's everyone today?

Today started a bit fresh, it was 9 degrees at sunrise then the sun warm up the air a little. The puffer jacket at the top was a good shout, and the swimmers at the bottom, were not the smartest - this is fashun in Bondi.

I was joined by fellow Frenchies, Mathilde and Remy visiting from New Caledonia. I met them on Saturday. We had a great chat then and while they were asking for things to do around here, I told them that they had to do a Morning Bondi session. A must, to say the least.

Like typical Aussies, they bought a matchy pair of colawful (this is not a typo) Budgees ready for the swim. They are the real deal now. Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi…

It's Oh so Quiet...

Hello beautiful friends,

Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend.

As BjΓΆrk would say, today was Oh so Quiet... It felt like people were not ready to kick-start their week as yet. Fair enough.

I went to the vantage point in South Bondi and saw Jason from Drone Shark App doing his thing. There were a few whales and 'Norman' the famous grey nurse shark cruising around. Jason loves to give names to all the regular marine life. Do you remember the video of 'Wally' the wobbegong shark who came close to me one morning?

Then back to my usual spot where we talked shit with Uge (I mean mainly him) and then a quick swim and back home.

The last thing before I go, my good mate, Mauricio is looking for a flatmate. Check his place out here and if you are interested, slide in his DM. He’s good fun so no doubt he would be a good roomie.

That's all folks, hopefully, tomorrow will be a bit more busy. Go for a swim people, the water is still pretty warm considering the season and I need something to shoot.

Another morning, another cracker...

To mix it up, I ventured down to Bronte Pool. This place is just next level. It's honestly hard not to take good photos of this pool at sunrise. A lot of activities going on, perfect for photo subjects.

One thing that I love about my morning routine is that it calms me down. I just concentrate on taking photos, that's all. For someone like me, with a mind that is constantly racing at 1,000 km an hour, it's pretty unique. It's my type of meditation if you like. Hmmm... πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ“ΈπŸ’¦

Morning my friends,

How’s everyone today?

What a start to the day, it was just sun-sational! I rock up down to the beach later than usual as I needed my beauty sleep after going to an event last night.

When I arrived at the beach, it was all pink with stunning reflections on the water and all that.

Once again, I took way too many photos, so the selection took a bit of time. Hence the late update too.

Were you down there? Go for a swim guys, the water is divine at the moment.

That’s all folks,

Anyhow, this morning was incredible. We had 15 minutes of glorious light and I snapped like a maniac, right, left, front, everything that was going on. Then the sun was gone behind the clouds.

We also had a whale, if not two in the bay, they were cruising not too far away from the surfers. Love it!

I spent my morning with fellow Frenchies Diane and Loic on their last sunrise before leaving for France for good, or at least for this year. I'm sure they will be back soon.

Oldies Goodies

Morning my friends,

Hope you are well.

Let’s be honest, it wasn’t the prettiest start to the day. Besides all the whales cruising along the horizon line and some early pink clouds in the sky, it was pretty dark and moody with rain around 7:30 am. I didn’t even bother taking my camera out of my bag.

Oh well, you can’t win every day.

On days like this, I almost feel like either buying a Paragraphica camera (that brand-new AI camera without a lens) or simply turning to Midjourney to create epic Bondi Beach images for me. If it’s not necessarily possible right now, it will be soon enough.

By the way, if like me you are obsessed with the power of AI, I recently wrote an article about it for AdNews Australia. Is Midjourney, the greatest creative tool or the biggest marketing fraud of all time? Love to hear your thoughts.

It's Friday!

Morning everyone,

Today was not wow like yesterday but who cares really it's Friday! Best day of the week, yeah?!

It was a very slow morning, by this, I mean, the sunrise took its time, especially with the thick clouds on the horizon line so patience was key - not my forte to be honest.

I almost thought that I wasn't going to take photos but I did. Are they good? They are alright, nothing groundbreaking but ehh.

Other than that, big week for bread this week. Obviously, I don't mean to do any hard sell but at the same time, I feel people care about 🍞 - every morning at least one person, asks me how it's all going (today was good mate Grant from OneWave).

We just released our latest campaign for P&O Cruises. If you fancy a free cruise, this is your time to play. Check their latest post for all the deets. If you win, I will come with you, yeah?!

And for the second update, we are now on the hunt for our first recruit - a Social Account Director, check the JD here. If it's you or know of anyone, send them my way. You know where to find me. ;)

That's all folks, have a lovely weekend and chat with you next week.

Morning crew,

Morning peeps,

Another day, another cracker!

No whales on the horizon today but 60 dolphins splashing around in the bay. They, unfortunately, didn't come too close but were hanging around Ben Buckler and in the middle next to the shark buoy.

'You sleep, you lose' that was one of Club Med’s slogans for a hotel targeting youngsters back in the day. That's pretty much what I feel every day, hence the motivation of coming down. Let's be honest, there is never a dull moment in Bondi.

On another note, as you know Morning Bondi is just a hobby and I have no intention to make it a full-time thing. I like my job in the Social space way too much for that. Yesterday, we released some funky designs for our future Bread offices. Do you like them? The puns are flowing in the comment section, perfect! 🍞

Morning my friends,

How's everyone today?

This morning was real good. The first lights were on point, the sunrise pretty nice too, and there were whales just cruising along the bay. I squeezed a Bondi to Bronte run, coffee, chat and swim with good mate Andy. We also bumped into my awesome business partner Mary (check Uge's photos for the mugshot, hopefully, we make the cut) and had a chat with all the local legends.

I've said it before but what I love the most about my morning routine is the Social element, then the photos - not the other way around.

Now, I'm pumped and ready to tackle the day.

Bonjour Bondi

Morning peeps,

Hope you've all had a great weekend.

Mine was very chilled with a fair bit of work, like pretty much every weekend since I started bread. Life of an entrepreneur, I guess. It's not always glamorous but I won't change a thing.

This morning was very quiet but it was very nice. The temperature outside was totally bearable, not one cloud in the sky and the water is still pretty warm considering that winter is around the corner.

I joined my mates in North Bondi but not much going on so ended up in South Bondi. Still not a great deal of activities to be honest.

Have an awesome week and come down in the morning, you won't regret it and who knows you might get snapped by Uge or me.

Morning team,

How’s everyone today?

How mild and beautiful was this morning. Sunrise was a cracker, a big red/orangy ball rising over North Bondi, water was divine and not that many souls around. Great for the peacefulness, but not so good for the photos.

What a week, I can tell you... It was non-stop but loving every single minute. I had so many work and social events, I’m β€˜knackeroo’. Tonight dinner with friends and that would do for the week.

This morning, I caught up with good mate and tailor Andy Taylor. Yes, I do have a tailor. How do you think I dress that well? πŸ€ͺ Yes, his name is Andy Taylor with a β€œY” and he is a Tailor with an β€œI”. What are the chances? I know… Anyhow, he’s a legend and we had a good time. If you are after a tailor, go to him and tell him that you come from Morning Bondi. He will look after you. No doubt.

Morning peeps,

OMG what an amazing start to the day!

At 5:50ish, the sky was already all pink. The photos don't even give justice to how beautiful it looked in real life.

Besides the sunrise, I bumped into so many legends this morning, started at 5:45 at the servo (petrol station for the non-Aussies) with Rawson and Trent, then Jason, Liv, Diane, Loic, ThΓ©o, Caroline, Adam, John, Dion, Scotty and Sam.

This is actually the thing that I love the most about Morning Bondi, the social element.

Most importantly, I was with one of my closest mates and original members of the Morning Bondi crew Julius Cruickshank. One of the best brand designers in town.

Winter has definitely settled in. It’s so bloody cold in the morning. Puffer jackets and beanies are now the Bondi uniform.

The surf was much smaller than yesterday but still pretty good, only a few people are going for a swim these days - which is a shame as the water is delicious and it’s also the best chance to get a photo of you on Morning Bondi.

Quiet Friday

Morning peeps,

Happy Friday as they say!

This morning was pretty nice, the sunrise was on point, not too cold and I was with my new mate Sam Cust talking business and taking photos - a perfect start to the day if you ask me.

Sam, is one of those overachievers. At 30 years old, he has helped more than 1,000 start-ups come to life with his business Hyper, he’s also an AFL coach, a Board Member at the Bondi Chamber of Commerce and plenty more... Impressive, eh?! More importantly, very nice and humble guy.

Other than this there were not that many people around. I have a photo of pretty much everyone who was around. Come on people the water is still warm, go for swims, I need subjects! Soon, it will be seagulls, men in speedos and flowers…
