Busy Bee

Morning gang,

How’s everyone?

Yeah, I know, I haven’t posted since last Friday, but I’ve been pretty “busy” lately - I hate this word, but let’s call a spade a spade.

In addition to client work, I’m organising a big party for 100+ people, looking for our new offices somewhere in Surry Hills, and plenty of other stuff.

Yesterday was a lot of fun. We filmed some pretty cool stuff with the Zambrero crew. I love this side of the job. My background is in TV production. I launched Sixtine 18+ years ago with two business partners, and they are still running.

This morning was unreal. I spent it with good mate Luc Wiesman, the man behind Dmarge, the best male publication in Australia. I’m putting this down here as no doubt it will help him with his SEO. ;)

That’s it for today,

Chat tomorrow,

Morning gang,

How's everyone today?

Another lovely start to the day. The surf has dropped significantly since yesterday, but the rest was incredible: sunrise, temperatures inside and outside the water, and heaps of activity around.

A lot of photo subjects which is perfect.

On another note, we have something exciting coming up for Bread, and we are looking for a good DJ for a cocktail party. If it's you or if you know of any, please let me know or tag them below.

Waves were in town so were 100’s of surfers. The surfers' flow in and out of the water was pretty good to watch. The sunrise was very nice, too, so no shortage of photo opportunities. I got carried away and took way too many, but not necessarily happy with most of them.

Oh well, let me know what you think. What do you like the most about my photography? People? Landscape? Surf?

Morning team,

How’s everyone today? Not too cold.

I wasn’t expecting the temperature to drop so rapidly but this morning was a bit chilly. I stupidly ventured down to Bronte Beach aiming to take photos of the pool but I had no idea it was closed and so for the next few weeks. For all the people living in Bronte let me know when it reopens and I will come down.

So I scooted back down to Bondi to my usual spots and it didn’t disappoint. Great light, good waves and heaps of surfer making the most of them.

That’s it for today. Have a wonderful day my friends and chat tomorrow.

Morning team,

I hope you've all had a good weekend and enjoyed Father's Day for the dads out there. What a glorious weekend!

This morning was very different from last Friday. It was pretty quiet down the beach, and there wasn't much to photograph.

I also rocked up later than usual, missing the first lights and sunrise.

Have a wonderful week, and I will see you down the beach tomorrow.

Happy Friday! What a week! It’s been absolutely unreal all the way.

Again, this morning was incredible. As always, I spent my morning around the Icebergs and South Bondi. I highly recommend it for your soul. It sets me up for the day!

What a cracker!

Morning my friends,

Another morning, another cracker!

When I arrived down, I was not expecting the sky to light up, and I was almost going to tell people not to bother going down. I’m glad I didn’t.

I exercised a bit, stopped to take photos, and then returned and injured my knee. I shouldn’t exercise and stick to what Frenchies do best: drink wine and smoke ciggies.

Talking about booze, I recently chatted with a good mate who had no idea about the Morning Bondi Gin. I thought it was a joke but apparently not. I think I already mentioned it 100 times, but in case you missed it: yes, there is a Morning Bondi gin; yes, it’s the ‘First' in, first ripple’ photo on the label; yes, I worked with the legends from Bondi Liquor Co on the recipe, and yes it’s the perfect Father’s Day present.

That’s it for today,

Morning my friends,

Were you there? Did you see it? How good was the sunrise this morning!

You sleep, you lose - that was one of Club Med’s old slogans for a hotel targeting young people. That's pretty on point for today, to be honest.

This morning was an absolute cracker! One thing I like about this type of sunrise is that it doesn’t last long, so you just need to snap like a maniac while it’s ON. Ten to fifteen minutes later, it’s all going grey with clouds, and you can put your camera away. It's very efficient—no f*ing around for an hour, just get the job done and fast.

On that note, here are the photos. Hope you like them.

Morning gang,

How's everyone today?

Today was sun-sational, and I was there for it. I rocked up early and did what needed to be done: take photos of the sunrise, the gorgeous light, and the people making the most of their morning. I also bumped into the usual suspects, my favourite part to be honest and back home.

I have a busy day ahead, shooting something exciting at Channel 9's studio for a Bread client and other bits and pieces.

Have a fantastic day and chat tomorrow,

Back at it

Morning everyone,

I hope you’ve all been well.

After precisely a two-month hiatus, I’m finally back to the routine. I’ve been back in Sydney for the past two weeks, but between the jet lag, funny weather, and work, I struggled to make my way down the beach in the morning.

While I was there early this morning, I had a coffee catch-up first thing and missed a good portion of the sunrise. It was still lovely, though. Don’t worry. I will aim to take better photos in the next few days and capture the bright golden light, too.

Have a lovely week, and chat tomorrow.

Later Sydney

Morning gang,

How's everyone doing?

This morning I was awake by 4:20 am, don't ask me why but it's definitely not the time I set up the alarm clock for.

I only see a few explanations, our basketball win from last night? (The 'Bondi Hoop Troop', remember that name, one day we might be famous) My trip to France tomorrow? No idea but ehh I won't complain as I was able to see the first lights over Bronte.

Maaaaate, it was unreal. The pink hues all over the bay were stunning. The sunrise was not bad either. I snapped like a maniac then I finished with a dip in the pool. Gosh, it was cold!

The perfect morning before a hiatus of 6 weeks. That's right, don't expect anything from me for all that time. I will be in Europe enjoying the warm weather.

In the meantime, look after yourself and chat on my return in mid-August.

Lots of love,

How’s everyone today? Great weekend?

This morning was cold (as the past few weeks) but outstanding morning. The light was incredible, the water divine (yeah I know I’m amongst the crazy ones that still go for dips in the morning) and a seal was hanging out in North Bondi. Nah, not in the water, just on Ramp 6.

What a great seal-abration for my last week in Bondi for a little while… I’m flying to France for 6-weeks. Yep, lucky me - skipping a good portion of winter. I guess that’s the perks of having your own business, you can work from anywhere! ;)

Morning team,

How’s everyone today? Freezing? Fair enough, it was 5°C around 6 AM. I’m not going to lie, I can’t wait to board my plane to Europe in a bit more than a week.

Besides the cold temperature, it was a glorious morning. The first lights were on point, the sunrise glorious, the waves decent and heaps more people around, including a few of my mates.

I’m not going to lie, I don’t have much to say today so will leave you with this.

Morning gang,

How good was this morning!

The horizon line was clear which means the sun popped up earlier than the past few days. The surf was still big but dropped a little. The only downside was probably the chilly breeze which means there were not that many people swimming. If you went in, like I did, chances are that I have a photo of you.

Today is going to be pretty chilled, a bit of work than lunch planned with the Zambrero team to celebrate our partnership and all the latest campaigns that we cooked together. By the way, if you haven't seen it yet, Dom Littrich (aka Spicy Meatball) just released a 🌶️ banger to launch the new Spicy range at Zam. What do we think? Worth entering the GRAMMYs?

The Pool

Hola gang,

How's everyone doing? Great weekend?

Mine was busy but excellent. Ian Darling from Shark Island Productions and his team kindly invited me to watch the new doco called ‘The Pool’. It's about the iconic Bondi Icebergs pool and all the different communities gravitating around it.

If you are as obsessed as I am about the Icebergs, I strongly recommend you watch the film, it's 1.5 hours of pure goodness. So many familiar faces are featured too.

The Icebergs is the most photographed pool in the world. No shit! (excuse my French) I probably take at least 10 photos per day and I have been doing so for the past 14 years which means that I have at least 50,000+ images of the Icebergs, I’m not even kidding.

Here are some of my favourite ones. I have pretty much every angle covered, even the most controversial ones taken in the pool - it's not allowed but Frenchies are not great with rules, but you already know that. If you want to see more photos, check out my special Icebergs gallery page.

Have a wonderful week my friends,

Morning team,

I hope you’ve all been well. My apologies for the radio silence but between the funny weather, my week in Cairns last week for the ‘Cannes in Cairns’ conference (highly recommend it) and pure laziness (let’s be honest for a sec), it’s been a while.

I know people might think I’ve made a typo on the title ‘Where’s Willy?’ No, it’s, unfortunately, not! It was freezing cold down there and yes I still went for a swim because why not? Surprisingly, the water was warmer than out there. Heaps of whales at the back too.

Besides this, not much to photograph today. I tried to get creative but ain’t that easy when there are not many photo subjects. My advice to you. If you’ve ever dreamt of being featured on Morning Bondi or good mate Aquabumps, come down for a swim, surf or even a chat with us and chances are you will get a feature. We need photo subjects. It’s boring AF when there is no one around.

On that note, love to you all and chat tomorrow.
