I love you

Morning lovelies,

Happy Friday!

I love you. And no, I’m not talking about Bronte Beach, even though I do too. I’m talking about every single one of you. When I asked yesterday, if anyone could recommend a local physio, I had 80+ responses and there are still more coming. I just wanted to say how grateful I was - you guys are absolute gems. Thank you so much and sorry if I don’t get back to you all individually. Wes at The Well won, he was recommended by 6 people. You better get my shoulder fixed in no time mate. ;)

What an incredible morning! The sunrise was a cracker, the sun was shining, the temperature outside was pretty good (the puffer jacket was probably an overkill today) and the water was incredible.

Have a fabulous weekend. My business partner Mary is already well in the spirit, check her out on that zip line.

Amaury (not pronounced ‘Amore’ but considering how romantic I can be, it’s ok if you call me like that).

PS: As I already had a few people asking for it, if you want that list of local physio, get in touch and I will send you all the screenshots.

I love you too Bronte.

Alright, my turn!

Yeah Nah

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today?

Alright, I messed up this morning, I told you that it was going to be terrible weather but in fact, we had a bit of sunshine. I was so convinced otherwise that I went for a run-up to Clovelly. On my way back, I was pretty pissed with myself when I saw the sun shining for a glorious 5 minutes but I was around Tama and didn’t have my camera with me obviously. I’ve said it before but I’m absolutely useless at predicting the weather, almost as bad as BOM’s forecast, so please don’t trust me, ever.

I still took some photos this morning but to be honest, I’m not really happy with any of them. What do you guys think? Worth the double tap?

On a brighter note, the local artist Rosie Rushton has done a collaboration with my good mates at Bondi Liquor Co. A collab produced by Laura Brandon. If you fancy a party next Thursday, check out all the deets here. I will be there having a few Plink Gins and my Morning Bondi Gin on a drip. Just joking Mum, I would never do that!

Have a great day my friends,

Reflo-phile

Morning team,

What a cracker of a morning!

I arrived early and could tell that it was going off, and guess what, it did! Incredible vivid colour show but what I liked the most this morning was the reflection on the sand.

I’m what people would call a “reflo-phile” (it does sound more negative than it is). I had to double-check online but using ‘-phile’ at the end of a word denotes a person or thing having a fondness for a specified thing, so here we go. Oh well, we do learn every day, don’t we?!

Have a great day my friends,

Morning gang,

Hope you've all had a great Easter long weekend.

This morning was all a bit too much, the waves were a bit too big, the sunrise was too bright and it was bloody chilly outside - that cold breeze was not really pleasant, wasn't it? The puffer jacket is back on tomorrow, I can tell you that.

While I'm freezing my butt off in Sydney, my awesome business partner Mary is cruising along for 7 days between Noumea, Lifou and Mystery Island with our new client P&O Cruises. If, like me, you are a bit jelly and would love to go back to Summer weather, feel free to enter the competition that they are running - it's so simple that you would be mad not to try out. Who knows, I might be on that cruise too. That’s right, we agreed that the next time is my turn - let’s party! 🚢🤟🏼🍹

Morning peeps,

How are you today?

Now we are talking… After a few very average mornings, we finally had a sunrise worth waking up for.

If you are into clouds, you will absolutely love this morning's update. It was a Cloud Fest. Clouds from all different shapes, sizes and colours. If it was a video, it would feature on Cloudhub.

I was meant to exercise with friends, I just did the stretching bit and bailed to take photos. Do I have regrets? Not at all! However, I need to go back to VRTUS as I'm certainly not European Summer body ready.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend my friends,

Mercredi

Morning my friends,

How are you today?

Today is ‘Mercredi’, French for Wednesday. Why do I write this in French you may ask? A couple of reasons, first of all, it’s hard to come up with a new blog title every day and it’s also the last official day of the Alliance Française French Film Festival.

I’m actually going to officially close it at Palace Central tonight. If you are around, come and say hi. Over Easter, you will have the chance to book your tickets on the website to the encores of the top ten movies and that would be it for this year.

This morning was a bit better than the last couple of days. After a Bondi to Bronte run, I went for a stroll and took a few photos. I bumped into the usual suspects, always good to see familiar faces in the morning.

Enjoy your day my friends and chat tomorrow,

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today?

After a rough night, I rocked up later than usual. To be honest, I’m not sure I missed much. The sun was playing hide and seek with the clouds all morning.

I took a few photos from Morning Bondi HQ above the toilets in South Bondi and around the Icebergs. Remember, you can discover all my favourite spots in my interview with Exceptional Alien.

Finally, thanks for all the kind words that I received yesterday for my “Local Communities” post and my apologies if I missed some of them. I actually added a few more since then. Remember, that I was after the free local communities, not the ones requiring payment.

Have a wonderful day and get in touch if there is another topic that you would like me to cover.

Local Communities

Morning gang,

Hope you’ve all had a great weekend. I went down this morning but didn’t take any decent photos and got drenched.

Instead, as promised last week, I just wanted to share with you a list of all the free communities around Bondi and the Eastern Suburbs (and I also included a few requiring a small fee). The reason why I’m doing this you may ask? I know a few of the founders of these communities and they all have something in common - they are good souls who invest time and effort to build these thriving communities. This is my way of thanking them for doing so.

There is honestly something for everyone: running, swimming, gardening, meditation, yoga, tennis or even ‘mental fitness’ groups. A massive thank you to everyone who contributed to the curation of this list. To be honest, I had no idea where I was getting into before starting that list.

Here are all the FREE ones listed by category and alphabetical order:

Morning gang,

It’s Friday, happy days!

Hope you had a great week, mine was absolutely brilliant. We are on a roll with bread! We keep on winning new work, while still having fun which is what matters right?

For a change of scenery, I took my water housing for a ride with me. I went right for backpacker rip with no wetsuit, no care given really. I quickly regretted both. I stayed approx. 30 minutes in the water, I got sent left, right and centre by the currents and I could barely talk after as I was frozen. Plus, I didn’t take any decent photos in the water.

Vitamin Sea is definitely a cure for most things, except probably that I might have caught a cold - we shall see.

Have a fabulous weekend gang and chat to you next week,

Morning beautiful people,

What a start of the day!

The sunrise was pretty spectacular so I had to cut the training short to capture it. I never really need excuses for that but today I had a good one.

We were joined on the sand by a group of 50+ people all dressed up in pink here to commemorate Yom Hashoah. In remembrance of all the people that died during the Holocaust, especially the LGBTIQ+ community, hence the upside-down pink triangle.

On a lighter note, as you would have seen yesterday, I asked if people could share all the free Communities around Bondi. I received so many, at least 15+ I will go through all your messages over the weekend and prepare a blog post for early next week listing all the communities around here. I honestly had no idea that they were that many. Sign-up for my daily newsletter so that you don’t miss out.

Talking about community gathering, the guys from Motorino reached out yesterday and they are organising a free community ride on Sunday. If you feel like riding with a bunch of other cool cats, join them.

That's a wrap for today, enjoy the photos and if you know of any good communities around, it's not too late, so send them my way.

Muchas gracias,

Morning gang,

I’m not going to lie, this morning was rather grey and uninspiring weather-wise.

What I did find inspiring however was seeing Team Murph training hard and the Bondi Penguins doing ins and outs in the dark. These two communities are totally free and are welcoming anyone to join them.

I’m actually thinking of curating a full list of all the free communities around the Eastern Suburbs. They can be exercise related or simply social.

If you know of any please send them my way and I will put a blog post together in the coming days listing them all out with a link to their website and/or Instagram.

Hola gang,

¿Cómo estás? Muy bien. That’s how much Spanish I can talk these days. I used to be better but eh it’s hard if you don’t practice.

Anyhow, enough show-off, this morning was just sensational or what I like to say: ‘sun-sational’. Did you see the sunrise? Were you down there? What did you think of it?

After a run, up to Clovelly and back, I was greeted by an amazing sky once I arrived back in Bondi. The colours were amazing - muy bien!

Last thing before, I leave you to carry on with your day. I have 5x double pass for the Blue Solutions Summit on Thursday with a line-up of amazing speakers. If this is of interest, slide in my DMs and I will send them to you. All free, gratis, gratuits, gratuito… First in, best dressed.

Morning gang,

Happy Friday! How’s everyone today?

Today is a special edition for my friends at OneWave, I’m so proud of what Grant Trebilco and Sam Schumacher have achieved in the past 10 years.

I remember meeting Grant exactly 10 years ago. He got out of the water in a full-on suit and tie with a board under his arm. I remember asking myself what is this weirdo doing?! So I asked him and in the most casual way, he told me: “I just had a board meeting…” and started to explain that he was trying to raise awareness of mental health by starting a conversation - and that’s exactly what he has done with Sammy for the past 10 years.

After realising that not everyone was going to jump on the suit trend, he swapped the dress code to Fluro and this is when Fluro Friday started.

For the past 10 years, they’ve been catching up every Friday down in the South end of the beach to talk and have a good time. Proud of you guys.

For a change, here are all the photos that I took this morning - 65 in total. They are not incredible as the light was pretty meh but love the spirit and seeing this fluro wave. Feel free to download them and post them wherever f*** you like (excuse my French!).

Let’s continue that incredible wave digitally…

What a cracker!

Morning my friends,

Simply wow, after 3 days of pretty average light, this morning we had it all: first lights on point, golden sunrise and a pod of 40+ dolphins in the bay... Hard to beat a morning like this.

I was meant to exercise with friends but after just a few movements I had to skip training to take photos instead. I rarely need excuses but this morning I couldn't resist.

See you down tomorrow morning for the OneWave 10th birthday. If you have to grab a coffee from one place tomorrow, it has to be from Will & Co Bondi - 100% of their sales will be given to OneWave. Go and indulge yourself, my friends!

Cheers,

A.

Grey(t) Day

Morning my friends,

I know I said yesterday that I would go down and take photos. I did go down but it was pretty grey and uninspiring. There was a tiny bit of colour around 7:30 am - time to go home and carry on with my day. Sorry gang.

My highlight of the morning was bumping into Luc from Dmarge and Jeff Lack in Tama. Great chat boys!

If you want to see some colours this week, you will have to come down on Friday. The legends from OneWave are celebrating their 10th Birthday by painting Bondi Beach fluro for mental health, and they would love you to join them.

They aim to create the first human fluro wave spanning the length of Bondi Beach to help bring more colour to mental health. It will take about 1,000 people in bright, colourful clothes standing side by side to make it from South to North Bondi, so they need all of you down there.

Thank you in advance for your support. 🌊🌈

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today?

After a big day at the conference yesterday (talked in front of 150+ people - the room was packed and people were standing up at the door, good for the ego I can tell you that), I woke up even more tired than I was yesterday so I stayed in. Once again, I didn’t miss much anyway - pretty overcast with a glimpse of light. Typical Parisian snob, I don’t bother taking photos anymore unless it’s postcard-perfect but you already know that.

Instead, here are photos of people, a lot of them. These photos were all taken on the 1st of January of this year but these could have been photos from the weekend that would have been the exact same. I love photographing people and crowds but you would rarely find me on the beach if it’s that busy. There are so many amazing harbour beaches in Sydney with 1/10th of the crowd - that’s more my jam, told you I was posh.

Alright, I think it’s enough blabla for one day. Have a cracking Tuesday and everything should go back to normal tomorrow if the weather forecast is right.

Ciao,

Morning my friends,

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. How good was the weather!

I spent the entire weekend working and having fun at the Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival. After two very hot days, I’m pretty knackered and still in bed writing this update - pretty rare these days but sometimes you need to listen to your body.

I still checked the sunrise from my windows and didn’t miss much. Even if I would have been down the beach, I wouldn’t have bothered taking photos anyway. However, because I don’t want you to miss out, here are some archive photos.

Today is another big day, I will be taking the stage at the ICC for the Marketing Live Conference to talk about how to win at LinkedIn. I know it’s a bit late notice but if it's of interest and you have nothing else to do, feel free to register via this link. It’s free and I will be there for the next 2 days. Wish me luck and hope to see you there!

Have a cracking week my friends and stay cool as always,

Morning peeps,

What a start to the day!

The sunrise, surf, water, pool, and number of happy people all around. It was just nuts! It felt that the whole of Bondi was down there this morning.

After a pretty epic night celebrating the official launch of the Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival, I was dying to jump in the water to recover.

I took some photos around the Icebergs with fellow Frenchy Diane Perreau, then walked down to the water edge for more. It was just glorious!

Have a cracking Friday and see you at the Festival this weekend. There are activities for pretty much everyone: music, yoga, beach clean-up, swimming, surfing competition, art, science, movies, docos, talks... Come down with your friends and family and enjoy yourself!

Challenge

Morning gang,

How’s everyone today? Pumped?

This morning, I set myself a challenge to take the least amount of photos. The reason why you may ask? I have an early meeting on the other side over the bridge (yep, I have my passport ready) and don’t have time to go through hundreds of photos.

Here are the top ones. What do we think? Any good?

One last point before I rush to my meeting. I’ve been nominated as a finalist for the WeAre8 ‘See the Sea’ competition. You can see a photo of it from their outdoor exhibition down below and vote for my entry on the following link. It’s the 2nd photo on the second row, you can’t miss it - it’s called ‘Sunrise Surf’. Go nuts, my friends! If I win, I will organise some goodies, like a print giveaway and who knows a bottle of the Morning Bondi Gin could be nice too,

That’s all for today, chat tomorrow!

Xoxo

Back baby

Morning gang,

How's everyone going? Did you miss your daily updates while I was away?

As mentioned, I was in Perth for a few days last week. OMG, Rottnest Island is a must. This place is heaven and the quokkas are the cutest. Of course, I took a selfie with them. I had to. Here it is in its full glory.

I'm now back in the bubble and ready to go back to my routine. The sunrise is so late these days around 6:45 am but well worth the wait.

The beach was packed, waves were rolling in, surfers were getting hammered and the water temperature was perfect.

Have a lovely day and if you don't know what to do this weekend, come to the Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival down at the Pavilion - there will be a lot going on. I will be there for the next 4 days working. It's one of Bread Agency's first clients. 🍞🤟🏼🤩

BOOM!
