Morning my friends,

Well well well... This morning was definitely different than yesterday, it was colourless and obviously not 31 degrees. Meaning the beach was way less busy and the photos not as impressive.

As every Thursday we went to the jungle gym North Bondi for a quick and intense session of bar exercise and abs. By the way, if there are some people from the Waverley Council reading this, it would be great to fix the three bars that went missing - just sayin'.

Then the usual swim & coffee at Chapter One.

OMG! 31 degrees at 6am. Did you sleep well? I personally didn't and was awake since 4:30am with the little one that wouldn't sleep.

Bonjour my friends,

As some of you might already know, I'm French and in France we have a famous song by Claude François called Le Lundi au Soleil which means Sunny Monday. Is that a pretty terrible song?! Today was pretty amazing, we went for a run up to Dover Heights with Patrick, then swim by myself and quick coffee with Hamish, Franck & Simon.

Friday the 13th.

Are you superstitious? I'm not but always good to know that today is Friday the 13th.

For a Friday, it was really calm and peaceful down there - probably not in the surf though. 1000's of surfers for one wave, this is what surfing in Bondi is all about.

We went for a sand run with the gang (god, it hurts when you haven't done it for a while), then the usual swim, coffee & photos.

A local guy, Fernando, reached out to me yesterday and asked me if I would share his newest clip, I said I would so here you go. All shot in Bondi with locals and tourists. Waves are back and the current pretty strong. Try the "backpacker rip" in South Bondi and you are sent to New Zealand in no time. ;)

The sunrise was alright with some great pink-orange colours in the sky, the water rough but pretty amazing, always good to do some body bashing before work.

Oh my gawd! At 6am, it was already hot and sticky!

Be ready my friends, we are expecting 38 degrees today. I'm actually glad to go to the office and sit under the AC.

This morning I went down the beach with my little girl who woke up earlier than usual. I love spending my mornings with her but god when it's that warm, the Babybjörn is a torture. No swim for me today but it was so tempting...

Lake Bondi

Morning guys,

Today was flat as a French crepe... Not one wave, just an amazing flat lake.

We went jungle gymming with the crew in North Bondi, then swim, coffee, photos and even some droning action. We saw the famous seal swimming in the bay and my good mate Bruno from Le Cut Studio captured it with his drone. He's going to release the video in a couple of hours, check it out here.

OMG! What an amazing start of the week!

This morning was just incredible... Sun-sational sunrise, Bondi to Bronte run, catch-up with all my mates and the water was just delicious! Really hard to beat a morning like this!

I know what you are going to tell me, how can you say that it's fabulous when it's pouring down outside. Well, this morning at 6am it wasn't and the sky was just incredible.

I'm usually not getting excited about grey sky but this morning was just amazeball. The contrast between the dark clouds and the blue indiglo water, the cloud rise, yes I'm not talking about sunrise but the clouds. Wow!

After all this, it started to bucket down and that was slightly less fun...

Summer Daze

Morning my friends,

Is Summer gone already? That was short!

Today is pretty miserable outside... We still went down the beach with a good intention to train but quickly changed our plans and skip the whole exercise bit. Just met for coffee and chat with the gang.

Around 7am, we joined my good mates Hamish, Pierre & Patrick for coffee and chat on the platform South Bondi - which we call the Morning Bondi HQ.

Happy New Year! All the best for 2017...

Hope you had a great break, mine was pretty special, 10 days in Bali with the whole family and then 5 days to rest and enjoy summer in Bondi. I've posted a few photos on Instagram if you want to check what it was like: @MorningBondi

Ouch! This is how I felt this morning when my alarm clock rang at 5:30am... So hard to wake up that early after almost 3 weeks of holidays, but glad I did it. We went to the jungle gym with the crew, that's when I felt a second 'ouch!' - no exercise for the last 3 weeks, I was so stiff...

Anyway, then the best bits, coffee & swim.

Morning my friends,

Today is going to be another hot one in Sydney, 38 degrees, and believe me you could already feel it at 6am. This morning I had to rush so I just went for the essentials: photos and swim. The sunrise was hidden by the clouds and the water was flat and pretty amazing. Definitely the best way to wake up in the morning, especially after a long night with mates.

OMG! This morning was just WOW! The bar is very very high, it's going to be hard to beat one morning like this for a while. Here are a the few reasons: the sunrise was sun-sational, there were some decent waves, the number of people around was incredible, we were nearly the whole Morning Bondi crew together and the water was the perfect temperature to wake-up!!

Now I'm off to work with a sun burn and a stupid smile on my face...

Morning my friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was pretty awesome, a bit of swim, a bit of surf, a pretty epic Summer party with mates at the newly refurbished Hotel Bondi (thanks for the invite guys!) and a lot of time with the family - what else would you ask for?!

Today was stunning and as every Monday it was pretty quiet so even better... Went for a run to Bronte and back, photos, swim and chit chat with my morning friends.

One word: BOOM!

After a pretty grey week and a massive thunderstorm last night, today was just amazeball. I went later than usual as I had to wait for my little Charlotte to wake up. When I arrived down the beach, the sun was quite high, the water was super flat and there were quite a few people making the most out of it.

So hard to leave the beach on days like this but don't you worry I will be back tonight for sure!! :)

Alright let's be honest here, this week has been pretty average and taking photos of grey sky all week is not necessarily what I enjoy the most.

Is that challenging? Hell yeah!

I do like the challenge but trying to excite people with dark and gloomy colours is far from an easy task.

Today was a grey(t) day down in Bondi. As every Tuesday we went to the jungle gym with the gang, then swim between the flags in NoBo and coffee at Chapter One. Aside from the weather, it was a pretty good morning...

Adding a bit of colour in a grey morning

Les archives. Another day, another rainy day… As I could see it was not raining, I ventured down much later than usual, around 6:45 am. I just arrived and a light drizzle started. What are the chances?! I joined my mates for a quick dip in the ocean and coffee at Chapter One (my unofficial gallery, they have five of my prints on the wall). Still worth going out, if you ask me… Have a great day my friends and stay warm as it’s a bit nippy at the moment. Ciao, Amo PS: I’m going camping this weekend with a bunch of mates but pretty sure I don’t have the right equipment to cope with the cold. I only have a summer sleeping bag… It’s going to be fun, they say. 🤦🏽‍♂️🥶

Rainy days. Do you know what rainy days mean? It means archive days. Here are photos from the past couple of months, most of them were my second favourite ones so you wouldn’t have seen them before. As you know, I love doing my Morning Bondi routine but it actually takes so much time. I’m talking about the photo bit especially. At the moment, I take photos from 6:30ish when the sun is up for roughly 30-40 minutes, then selection of the good photos for 20 mins, light edit the best ones for 10 mins, then write the morning blurb for 3-5 mins (I tend not to overthink this, as you can tell), then upload of each individual photos on the blog for 10 minutes, then newsletter for 5 minutes, then Instagram for 3 minutes, Facebook 3 minutes and Instagram Story 3 minutes. Basically, around 1.5 hours on average. So yes sometimes, I’m glad when it’s raining as I’m saving so much time. Have a beautiful day, despite the weather, and chat with you tomorrow, Xoxo Amo

Golden Sea. Slow start this morning, it was pretty average unless you could wait up to 8am (I couldn’t) to see the sun popping out behind the curtain of clouds. It was all about the golden reflection of the hidden sun on the water. Gold 24-carat for a few minutes. I don’t have much to tell you today except that if you live locally and love ‘Shark Tank’ TV show, you will love the local version of it. It’s called the Bondi Innovation Shark Tank organised by the @bondichamber and it’s next Wednesday at @hotelravesis You can find all the deets in the media release and book your tickets on the blog. I’m going with my awesome business partner Mary Proulx and supporting Sam Cust, one of the sharks (I think that’s what we call them). If you come down, let’s have a beer and break bread (what I love the most about our business name is that the puns are endless). I loaf you! (see) Amo

Nothing to worry about, it's just a tornado off North Bondi, ... 🌪️😲 I took this photo this morning around 9:30 am. I was shooting with @versefinejewellery in South Bondi when we saw this waterspout tornado coming out of nowhere. Scary much? Look closely and you can see the person around Ben Buckler's cliffs running for his life... That's all folks!

Pure Heaven. What another beautiful start to the day! While yesterday was all about big waves, today was all about the mad reflo on the sand - absolutely stunning. I was sitting just next to Morning Bondi HQ and was snapping like a maniac. Low-tide goodness. What a stunning morning! Today was all about the low-tide gold reflection. It was just the perfect conditions for photos. The problem, only a few people out including two metal hunters. I was with fellow Frenchy @dianeperreau all morning. I reckon she’s the most popular French person in Sydney. So many people are stopping her every morning to have a chat and take a selfie with her. Have a lovely day my friends, Ciao, Amo

Into the wild. What a cracker of a morning! For a change of scenery, I ventured down to Bronte this morning. I reckon I made the right choice, it was just an incredible show. I was with my mate @paolocattaneophoto for the entire morning and we were just looking at the waves rolling in. Bronte Pool was the best place in da house. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen the very rare video of me talking to the camera. With @bread_agency, my agency, I recently started working with the team from @in2thewild.aus, the best tiny houses business around. In order to have a better understanding of the experience, the client kindly invited me to go for a couple of days with my wife and daughter. Real legends, best onboarding! The whole experience was amazing - especially for someone like me that is pretty hyperactive. I just ‘re-wilded’ for two days. Even though the network was working where we were, I put my phone in airplane mode the whole weekend and made the most of the experience. The tiny house was kitted with all the things that you need, all the products in there are premium and sourced from ethical brands. Let’s be honest the firepit and outdoor bath were the highlights for me. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are like me and struggle to switch off. FriYay. How’s everyone today? After two days in Melbs (Melbourne for the hipsters), I’m back in the hood. What a morning! Incredible light, the surf was ON and the Icebergs was packed - perfect for photo ops. This morning I caught up with my mate Ben, a fellow Frenchy that I haven’t seen for years. We hung out around the Bergs and finished with a swim in South Bondi - how original. Enjoy your weekends my friends. Mine is going to be pretty epic. I’m going into the wild, literally.
